The case came to a close about two hours ago, for a court case it was over very quickly. About five hours and the prosecution and defence both rested, ended up being that Shirley pretty much laid everything bare of what the two had done. There was no coming back from that for the defence, I kind of felt sorry for the barrister in a way.
After that the jury went out to consider the verdict, I wish I could say that it could be either outcome but I would be very surprised if they didn’t come back with guilty after Shirley’s performance in the dock. The defence pretty much rested after her little escapade.
I expected us to be out of the courtroom for a good few hours or even a day, but just before I could take Anne to get a bite to eat we were all called back in.
