Finally the Defender reached the point Jenna had been aiming for, a relatively stable section within the various anomalies. She set the Defender to hold position tightly, knowing that a small drift could quickly fall foul of a gravity shift which the automated systems might not be able to compensate for. She set the ship to relay any alerts to the shuttle, and from there on to her datapad, then paused for a moment. Had she forgotten anything? She didn’t think so, so she pushed herself up and moved at a half jog to the shuttle. She’d already prepped it remotely from the bridge, so it was ready to launch. In hardly any time she was on her way to the Tagrale’s control room. Guiding the shuttle through the treacherously twisted areas of space seemed much easier than on previous trips.
