Chapter 1027 Sep 1982, 16:45: January was ready with time to spare. She’d dressed with special care and now waited for Thad to arrive. Too nervous to sit still, she smoothed a hand down the crisp taffeta skirt of her very best dress as she paced around her now crowded living room. The glass door of the trophy cabinet threw back her dim reflection. She hesitated. Had she gone overboard?
