“Come, you can use the back bedroom to change. Then we’ll go swimming.” Thad opened the door to a neat, clean, but obviously unused bedroom. “The door on the left is a bathroom. When you are ready, go through the sliding doors in the kitchen. I’ll be on the patio.” He smiled as she stepped past him. “And Jan, thanks for trusting me.” He softly closed the door. Trust you? The Devil will be holding ice skating parties before I trust you, Thaddeus Gunn. January looked around the bedroom. It had obviously been furnished for female occupancy. There was a vanity table with a big mirror and another full-length mirror on the closet door. The closet itself was empty, though a dozen coat hangers hung on the rod just below an empty shelf. There wasn’t a speck of dust in the closet that she could see
