Serene's POV We arrived back at The Black Soul, I felt defeated. I had let those creatures down by not being more prepared. How could I possibly be a good queen if I am already failing being that were meant to be under my protection? Connor and Lee were already back on the ship. Connor was going to make sure the coast was clear for me, ensuring my identity wouldn't be revealed. However, I believe it is a little late for that.
