Kanto’s POV
I woke up to a feeling of pain and the faint sound of a howl in the distance. I don’t know why but that howl made me feel sad. I rolled over to my back and just stared at the ceiling as the pain radiated through me. This past month has been nothing short of torture. Ever since that monster took her, I’ve felt nothing but pain. Some days more than others. Existence was something I didn’t want, not without her. My mate, my Luna, my Skyler.
The pain increased day by day until one day the pain that rushed through me caused me to pass out. My mother knew what this pain was. The way she looked at me with sadness clear as day in her eyes. It reflected her own on the day my father died. She’s been looking at me with sympathy ever since. But I refuse to believe that Skyler is dead.
