Chapter Six

They were searching for the right person. They don’t know it yet. They were deep in thought. They couldn’t use their powers in the human world. They don’t know the rules here. So, they try to practice their self control. As they practice, they sense something wasn’t right. It was the air that changed. It smelled like something was burning. They cannot do anything. Because, they cannot interfere with humans. They had no choice, but to watch them die. The date is different in the city. The day is a Friday night time on a Friday.

… SCENERY CHANGES …

Quincy waited. While waiting, she fell asleep. A part of her felt like something was wrong. Even though she’s a mile away from it. Her body felt light as a feather. From the outer perspective, Emerson saw her body floating into thin air. It was as if she was levitating. Her body was surrounded by light. In the center of her forehead, a strange symbol appeared. It was as if someone was calling for help. In an outer body experience like an astral projection was cast on its own. 

Another part of her was leaking. It was as if it wanted to come out to play. And so it did. Standing proud and powerful. There was a beautiful girl. She had the same physical appearance as Quincy. But, it had a different hair and eye color. For this other girl, her hair wasn’t long. It was as if she was shrinking to reach only her peaches. She had a ponytail on the side. She made a twin tail that has a ribbon on it. Her hair color was an aquamarine blue. And her eyes were icy blue. 

She was wearing a sapphire blue heart mini dress with a one strap over her shoulder. In the center it had a star shape. The bottom of her dress had a heart and floral petals on it. She also wore a warm fuzzy blue jean jacket that made her warm. A song appeared in her mind. It was a soothing song. It was like a familiar song as it was also sad. The song was playing loudly in Japanese in her mind. She remembers the song. It was as if she heard this song somewhere. She lays in bed with her eyes closed. She starts to hum the song along with it. It became louder and louder. The words appeared in Japanese one-by-one over her head as she continued to hum it.

The song was playing in the background. It could be heard anywhere. IF they were into music; they could hear it loud and clear. However; a part of her that swept out of her body; she was singing it in English. It was a soothing sound coming from her mouth. It was a sad song that she was singing. The words flows through her mind gently.

A part of Quincy sang each word for word. As she sang the song in the right rhythm and beat, mysterious wings appeared from her back. It spread from her back. It wasn’t painful. Her hands were in a prayer form. As she sang the song, the sky turned gloomy and the sad color of dark grey. The current weather swiftly changes into rain. The cries she heard were calling her to teleport her to the other side of the globe. The symbol of her forehead was the one in the control.

… ON THE OTHER SIDE …

The weather where the boys were at suddenly changed. The air did change. It was a sorrowful feeling of the wind. Thunderstorms and lightning strikes appeared in the sky. It was as if the sky was tearing apart. The sky turns into a deeper dark grey. The clouds covered the sky. It started to rain. There wasn’t any sun. One of the boys felt hot due to the hot weather, since he was not a human. He could finally breathe safely.

“ Zhe shi zenme hui shi ? “  [What’s going on ?]

A boy that was the first to take notice of the change.

“ Ni suede nimen ma? Kongqi bianle “  [Did you feel that you guys? The air changed].

The boy felt the sky was sad. A drop of the rain fell onto the ground. People that were on the street or outside scattered around to find shelter. It was raining. From the lightning a bright white light appeared to where the fire was being spread. A young girl floats into the sky high above the building. Humans were screaming at the top of their lungs. They are afraid of dying. The fire continues to spread due to the wind. The humans didn’t know what to do. There weren't any firefighters coming their way. 

Their answers were heard as they were praying to the gods for help. They thought that God was sad. The boys heard a song playing in the background. It was a soothing song. But it was heartbreaking. From a closer inspection, if you ignore the sound of everything; they could slightly hear a faint voice of a girl. It was as if someone was singing a song. The boys went to higher grounds. They sat on the tree.

“ Ni kan Dao shenmeiliao ma, heng te? “ [Can you see anything, Hunter ?].

A boy who sat next to him as he was not comfortable sitting on the tree.

“ Wo meiyou shenqi de Nanjing, sai si. Wo buchi xixuegui “ [I don’t have magical eyes, Seth. I’m not a vampire].

A boy named Hunter says that to Seth as he rolls his eyes at him. Seth laughed as his fang was showing. He could smell the blood of humans from a mile away.

“ Shi de, ni shi yine kangren lieren. Na sushi ni weisheme mai zheli ma? Zhaodao ni de banlu “  [True, you’re a werewolf Hunter. Isn’t that why you’re here? To find your mate].

Hunter ignores his question. He knew he’s not the only one looking for a mate. He just feels like he won’t be able to find one. Not in this vast land where humans live. 

“ Erqie ni sushi mai xunzhao banlu, sai si. Wo shidao wo Sushi weiyi Xiang Yak yige de ren “ [And you’re not looking for a mate, Seth? I know I’m not the only one who wants one].

Hunter sighs. Everyone agrees with his statement. After a while, they became quiet.

“ Anjing de! Ni nene ting dao ma? “  [Quiet Can you hear that?]

A boy who looks like a leader among the guys. He tries to stop Seth and Hunter arguing among each other. They stayed quiet for a long time. They open their ears. Others close their eyes.

“ Wo kan daole! Na shi yi zhi niao ma? “  [I see it! Is that a bird?]

A boy next to Seth. He could slightly see from far away. Seth closed his eyes. He emptied the sound around him. He didn’t need to use his powers. His mind was clear. He could see a mile away from what the boy saw.

“ Wo bu renwei na shi niao, andongni “  [I don’t think that’s a bird, Anthony].

Seth sighs. He shakes his head. A boy heard Seth saying his name. He turned around to face him.

“ Ruguo sushi niao, na shi shenme. Ta you chibangx. Danshi, lanse shi butong de “  [If it’s not a bird then what is it? It had wings. But, the color is different].

The girl raised her hands in front of her. She uses the nature around her. She listens to her heart. Her heart slowly opens leaving a mark. The wind came from the opening. It answers her pleas. The rain mixed into the wind. The wind slowly picked up the humans that were trapped in the burning house. As the rain continues to fall heavily. The rain washes over the fires. The fire stopped burning. The people that were hurt. Or inhale the smoke of the fire and feel lost.

The humans heard a lullaby somewhere. Once heard, the humans fell asleep instantly. Without hesitation, she raised her right hand above the sky. In doing so, she transported all the humans that were trapped in the fire to the hospital. A hospital that wasn’t far from where they are. The humans were in front of the hospital. The nurses saw them. They were shocked. They came out of nowhere. One of them told the doctor. They brought all the stretches. They put all the humans on a bed one-by-one. So that they could check on them. 

The rain dies down. And the girl that was there vanished. Pieces of her wings endlessly fall onto the tree nearby. The boys saw wings overflowing above them. The white feathers landed onto the six boys. As she fades, her smiles still echoes into their minds. The white feathers were enough for them and his servants to transport them to the summer diamond bridge.

“ Na shi shenme ? ”  [What was that?]

The first boy spoke after the events happened. He felt a surge of power coming from somewhere. But, he doesn't know where it was coming from.

“ Suanle! Women mai na? “  [Forget that! Where are we?]

The second boy spoke after feeling shocked. Even though he felt shocked, he could tell the changes into the air.

“ Wo renew women bu mai chute tianshi chi qiao “  [I don’t think we are on angel bridge anymore].

The third boy sighs. He also shakes his head. He noticed the air here is different than before. He could tell the air suddenly change instantly. The scent of the air drastically changes when they have arrived at a place they aren't aware of.
