As Paige continued the 20-minute drive to the lake house she noticed for the first time that running parallel to the main road was the railroad tracks.
"I can't get away from you, can I?" She smiled to herself as she spoke to the train tracks. They made her feel connected with Skipton, even out by the lake. It also caused her to realize just how far her family’s reach extended into the area around Skipton. She reached over to the dashboard and turned the radio up a little louder. Her movements caused her to look at the seat next to her and she couldn’t believe how packed her car was. Maybe she was only going for a weekend, but looked like she’d be gone for a week.
