Chapter 22
After Paige left for the lake house, Rebecca headed over to the church to make sure that the preparations were in place for tonight's youth meeting. It was a short walk to the church, and she enjoyed it, waving to a few people along the way. She had little to do when she got there; the kids were busy and everything was ready for after church on Sunday. She was proud of their initiative. They took responsibility for their own activities and she was thrilled at how strong the youth group was becoming within the church. She was sure Nathan’s leadership had a lot to do with that. The kids looked up to him, and he treated each one as an individual, becoming a mentor as well as their youth group leader.
