Chapter Twelve
Finished saddling a horse, Meikah grabbed more tack. “We need people to help us saddle the horses. This is taking too long.” She scanned the horses in the stable, spotting the other one that had drawn the wagon.
“Shade will bring everyone here soon,” Kellan assured her. “What did you learn at Hincke’s place?”
She shrugged as she started saddling another horse. “I didn’t have time to look. There was too much and people were in the hallway outside the door of the room I was in.”
“Doesn’t matter. We’ll check it over later. If nothing else, we know he’s guilty of kidnapping.”
