Eve, honey where are you? I hear mummy’s worried voice true the air as I hold on tight to the tree in which I am hiding. Mummy hates it when I climb into the trees but I just can’t help myself. I love it when I am all the way up high in the sky. To see the world from up high, to feel the breeze in my hair. Eve? So help me god, if you don’t come out right now your brothers get to choose desserts tonight. I have two big brothers. Jack who is 7 and Eric who will be 10 soon. They always tease me that I am their ‘baby sister’. They are bigger, stronger and are allowed to do way much more stuff. I am a big girl! I am 5 years old, almost 6. Mummy told me my birthday is coming up soon. Eve? I hear her voice once more. I don’t get why you are not looking up darling? You know she loves climbing every damm tree as high as she can. This warm voice belongs to my daddy. I peak down and see them right at the foot of the tree in which I am hiding in. My mummy is the most beautiful woman I know. She is tall, with a ivory skin and red hairs. Sometimes I feel like it’s on fire. Her eyes are blue which is the only difference between us. I look just like her except I have my daddy’s green eyes. My daddy is a big guy. He is a lot taller then my mummy, has deep black hair and a tanned skin. I know she likes to climb trees but somewhere deep down I keep hoping she will give up that dangerous hobby of hers. Mummy’s voice sounds worried and I feel bad. I should go down. Is Eve in trouble? I hear my brother Eric ask. I see him and Jack show u next too my parents. They seem exited by the idea that I am going too be in trouble. I know they love me but they are my brothers. They love to annoy me. Mummy? If she’s climbing trees again, can we choose deserts tonight? Jack’s voice is filled with playfulness. You two boys enjoy this way too much for your own good. My dad states playfully. He lifts his head in the air and talks in the air. Where is my little autumn breeze? Where is my autumn Eve? I’m about to start climbing down as I hear a strange noise. I look from whatever direction it came from and focus on the spot. What was that? My family hasn’t heard it as they are still arguing at the end of the tree. Suddenly I see four men appearing from the forest. They don’t look that friendly. I can see that they are huge with grim faces. They look like animals searching for a prey. Something tells me that they are dangerous. I want too warm my family but my voice won’t work. I am frozen by an unknown fear. Something is warning me too stay hidden. But how could I do that? I have to warn them! Tell them to run from those scary men! Why can’t I yell? Mummy! Daddy! Hide! I think. Take Jack and Eric and hide! But no words are leaving my lips. I can do nothing as a see the slowly approaching my family. Well well, what have we here? One of the scary men says in a chilling voice. I see my daddy look up and immediately he pulls mummy and my brothers behind him. Protectively he stands in front of them. I hear a strange growl. Was that my daddy? I must have imagined it. The four men have now surrounded the tree. The look in their eyes is terrifying. It’s almost like they glow red. How lucky are we? To find beta James with his mate and children. All alone and so far from his pack. I think it’s the leader of the four men that’s saying these words. He looks the most terrifying. My daddy doesn’t move an inch from my family. I will only warn you once, turn around and leave my family be. Otherwise the consequences will be severely. My daddy warns in a low voice. The men chuckle and start to slowly approach them. Now now, beta James. There is no need too be this hostile. We are only following orders. Their leader continues. It’s nothing personal but I can’t deny that I am going too enjoy this. Whit these words he licks his lips as he glares at my mummy. Don’t you dare touch my mate or my children! This time I can clearly hear him growl. How is he doing that? I see my mummy holding on too my brothers as they are crying into her lap. The next thing I know I see the four man changing into monsters. Big huge wolfs! They can’t be normal as they are as big as a horse. My daddy turns too my mummy and yells ‘RUN’. Before he can turn again I see two of the huge wolfes jump on him. I see them tearing his flesh with their canines and claws. There is nothing I can do as I see them tearing him apart and killing him by biting down on his neck. My mummy screams as she wittiness the love of her life being killed in front of her eyes. The next thing I know the wolfs are again approaching her. She pushes my brothers away. Run! Don’t look back! Run now! I see my brothers tearfully eyes. Jack doesn’t want to go but Eric pulls him with him. Is can see them running through the forest and disappearing as fast as they can. Two of the wolfs shift back into humans. Their leader turn to the two still remaining in their wolf forms and snarled ‘After them! Kill them! All of them have to be death’! The two wolfs starts running in the direction my brothers went. The two others focus on my mother. Ah, the beautiful lady Ilyana. How I have longed for this day to come. The leader said in a sinister voice. My mummy backed away until her back was against the tree. I could see that she was terrified. Don’t come near me, she warned them. Don’t you dare touch me! The men chuckle as they keep approaching her. There is no need to make this anymore difficult than is has to be. After all, we only want to have a little fun. I see my mothers eyes widening when realisation hits her. She looks up too the sky and yells. ‘My little autumn breeze, hide and look away. Please don’t look, I love you’! Who is she talking too? One of them asked. Does it matter? The leader chuckles as he moves towards my mummy. The last thing I see is him grabbing my mummy’s beautiful red hair and ripping open her dress. F**, look at them t**s. I hear him yell. I turn away from the sight as I hear my mummy scream. She keeps screaming as I hear the men laughing and ripping of my mothers clothes. ‘Open your f***ing legs’ one they yells and I hear him slapping my mummy. I cover my ears as I hear one the men grunting while my mummy is still sobbing. *hours later I don’t know how long I have been hiding in this tree. After I covered my ears and shut my eyes, I tried to block out all that was happening. Mummy has stopped screaming. Slowly I peak at the bottom of the tree. The four men are standing and laughing around the corpses of my parents. My mummy is completely naked and covered in blood. Did you catch the kids? The leader asked the two men. They nodded. Wasn’t that hard. We followed their sent and catches them bye the cliff. After we killed them off we threw their bodies over it. They will never be found. The leader nodded. Perfect. He will be pleased that we succeeded. Let’s head back. Our reward awaits us. Without even a last glance too my parents they changed into their horrible wolves and started running. I waited for a while until I was sure they were not coming back. After a while I started to climb down. My muscles hurting from the hours that I have been holding on to the tree. When I got to the bottom I took a deep breath. I turned around and tears started to escape my eyes. There they were. My loving parents, ripped away from me by monsters. I couldn’t stay here. Blinded by my tears I turned around and started to walk in the opposite direction of where the monsters went. At the edge of the forest I paused for one last time. I will kill the monsters who did this. No matter how long it takes, I will never stop looking for them. I breathed and uttered my last words. I love you.
