The Arrogant heir
Episode 1: The Arrogant Heir The floating kingdom of Elaria glittered beneath a violet morning sky. Above the clouds stood Moonlight Academy, an enormous castle surrounded by floating gardens, crystal bridges, and waterfalls that flowed upward instead of down. For Abigail Wilson, eighteen years old and completely new to the magical world, the academy looked impossible. She stood at the entrance with one suitcase and a silver invitation clutched tightly in her hand. "Moonlight Academy," she whispered. "I really came here." Before she could take another step, a golden carriage descended from the clouds. Students immediately moved aside. The carriage was enormous, covered in black and gold symbols, with two enormous silver-winged horses pulling it. A boy stepped out. The courtyard went silent. "Cameroon Smith," someone whispered. Abigail looked around. "Who?" A girl beside her stared at Abigail as though she had just asked who the king was. "You don't know Cameroon Smith?" "No." The girl lowered her voice. "His family owns half of Elaria. His father controls the largest magical trading empire in the kingdom. Cameroon is the richest student in this academy." Abigail looked toward him. Cameroon wore the academy uniform like it had been designed specifically for him. His expression was calm, almost bored, as several students rushed to greet him. He barely acknowledged them. One student accidentally stepped in front of him. "Sorry, Cameroon." Cameroon looked at him. "Move." The student immediately moved. Abigail raised an eyebrow. "Wow." Cameroon heard her. He slowly turned. Their eyes met. "Did you say something?" Abigail smiled politely. "I said wow." "And what exactly is so impressive?" "Nothing. I was just wondering if you always talk to people like that." A few students nearby gasped. Cameroon's eyebrow lifted. "You must be new." "Obviously." "And apparently fearless." "Apparently." For the first time, a tiny smile appeared on Cameroon's face. Then the academy bell rang. BOOOONG! Every magical symbol on the castle walls suddenly glowed. Abigail's silver invitation began shaking in her hand. Cameroon's expression changed instantly. "What is that?" "I don't know." The invitation floated out of Abigail's hand. Silver light surrounded it. Words appeared across the paper. THE MOON BELL HAS CHOSEN ITS NEW HEIR. The courtyard erupted in whispers. Cameroon stared at Abigail. "That's impossible." "Why?" "Because the Moon Bell hasn't chosen anyone in eighteen years." Abigail's heart raced. "Why does everyone keep saying eighteen?" Cameroon stepped closer. "Because the last person chosen disappeared eighteen years ago." Suddenly, the academy doors slammed shut. A cold wind swept through the courtyard. And from somewhere beneath the castle came a deep, terrifying sound. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. The ground shook. Students screamed. Teachers rushed toward the entrance. Cameroon grabbed Abigail's silver invitation before it could fly away. His arrogant expression had completely disappeared. "Listen carefully," he said. Abigail looked at him. "Whatever happens today, stay close to me." She frowned. "Why should I listen to you?" Cameroon looked toward the dark tower above them. "Because I'm the only person here who knows what that symbol means." Abigail looked down at the invitation. A strange black symbol had appeared beneath the words. Cameroon whispered: "Your magic isn't awakening." He looked at her. "Someone is waking it up." And somewhere deep beneath Moonlight Academy, something began to laugh.
