As I watched her, I wasn't angry. I just wanted to s***k her for not replying to my text messages when I sent them and for being so beautiful for someone as worthless as Julian.

If only she knew the man she was going to get married to, I bet she would run out this moment, but all the same, I am not going to let that happen, not under my watch, nor let my mate be taken away from this bastard again.

“You've wished us a happy married life now, can you leave? It's obvious you're not welcomed here. I don't remember sending an invitation to you cousin.” As usual, venom ran through his voice as it did many years ago, but this time he was a little scared. Perhaps he assumed that I was going to open his box of secrets right here.

It wasn't going to happen. I am going to use it against him at the right time, but right now I have more important matters to handle.

“Why are you in such a hurry to discard me? Why? Can't wait to take her to bed already?” I asked and Serena's eyes parted wide. She definitely didn't like that conversation, but I couldn't care less what the little kitten wanted.

She reminded me of her father, yet I couldn't let her go. She did this. If only she hadn't been so stupid as to get into bed with me, then none of this would have happened. I wouldn't have gotten a taste of the forbidden and now I want more.

“She’s going to be my wife. It's only right that I would take her to bed, and then she would have to give birth to our babies. They will be as beautiful as Serena.” He talks like he knew her and in that moment I searched his eyes looking for something.

Was he already aware Serena and I shared a passionate night together? Was that why her father arranged this ridiculous marriage?

It couldn't just be a coincidence, since the old man doesn't like me and the feeling is mutual. He must have had one of his men try to find a common enemy, someone who detests me just the way he does and someone who was going to put me to the test or challenge me at least.

Does he think Julian has the balls to do so? All my dear cousin ever does is manipulate, while he hides behind the curtain like a coward when a war arises, I fight like the son of Blood and Bones.

“And who told you she's going to be your wife?”

“Please stop this–” Serena began, but just a glare from me was enough to shut her up. She knew right there that I was mad at her.

I looked at the priest and some of the other godforsaken guests who I didn't care about. “You will all have to leave because the wedding is over. I'm taking my mate with me.”

Whispers erupted from all corners when they heard the word Mate. They couldn't believe that their Alpha or would I say past Alpha was now my mate.

“This is all a lie, right, Serena?” He held her but I quickly yanked his arm away.

Serena was stunned by my bold moves. If there's anyone who should touch and hold her it should be and not Julian or any other man out there.

“Don't touch her.”

“This is between me and my wife so stay away from it, you don't tell me what to do Kade.”

“It's Alpha Kade or Mr. Kade to you, call me Kade one more time and I will make sure I paint this hall with your blood.”

“Enough! Can you please leave, you're making everyone uncomfortable much more you're ruining my wedding” Serena glared at me and once again my aggressive, defiant little kitten was back, but she knew better that I wasn't going to listen to her, not under my watch. It won't work.

“Making everyone or making you. Certainly you don't want me here. Are you scared something might happen between us” I pulled her closer into my arms leaving her stunned. Her eyes roamed around her and when she found someone, she stiffened. “End this marriage or I will make you regret it.” I whispered in her ear.

She couldn't speak. The words were trapped in her throat but she wouldn't let it out.

“Serena” Julian's annoying voice interrupted again and she broke away from me. Without needing to turn back, I already knew who she was most terrified of right now, it was Alpha Alfredo, her father and my enemy.

“I am going to leave here for all of you to enjoy yourself but with Serena because she is not just my mate but she is carrying my child in her womb” The people gasped just hearing that, whispers and murmurs filled the room.

Julian was shocked and so was Serena, she didn't believe how far I would go just to end this wedding?

Did she think I came here to play games with her? Did she think that I got to the top just by handing roses to passersby?

I got here by hard work and manipulation and when Kade wants something he doesn't rest until he gets it.

“You're lying, Serena is not pregnant. Can't you see you're not welcomed here? Why don't you just admit and accept defeat like the last time and just walk away rather than make a fool of yourself” Julian said, his words hitting a nerve as I remembered the dreadful day I was cast out of the pack and he took over everything.

“The only one making a fool of himself is you. I have the result. If you don't believe me then go ahead and check it out for yourself” I took out a result that I had Marcus, my best friend arrange the last minute because somehow I knew I was not going to leave that Hall with her if I don't use everything in my reach to make Julian submit and make Serena not just to submit but equally humiliated.

“You are lying.” Her hands trembled when she took hold of the test result and when she opened it up, it stared down at her like the sun stared down upon the universe.

She staggered back almost falling to the ground when I pulled my arms around her, holding her.

I whispered. “I tried to be nice and gentle with you. I tried to tell you to end this wedding but you didn't listen. you brought this upon yourself Serena, now you will pay the consequences real hard”

At that moment she knew exactly what I was talking about. The results were fake. I didn't care if she was pregnant or not but who would believe her? No one because I equally have evidence of us making love the other night. Who would oppose us being together now?
