After Kade was done with Valentina in his study, he went up to look for Serena only to find her walking out of the bathroom wearing silk pajamas that left nothing to be imagined.

“My room is that way. I have already made that clear. The servant will gather your things and bring it over, let's go” He took long steps towards her and held her hand, about to drag her towards the door, but Serena yanked his army away.

“I'm not going to share the same bedroom with you. What part of that don't you understand? I promise to do everything you tell me to so that I can get the hell away from you once our contract is over but that doesn't mean that I will let you boss me around and tell me where I should pass the night except you have an ulterior motive.”

“Yes I do, I want to kiss you and touch you. Is that enough for you?” He was mocking her as Serena rolled her eyes about to walk away when Kade held her hand.

“Don't walk away from me when I'm not done talking to you.”

“Well, I'm done listening. I'm tired. It was a long journey back home to your house. Now all I want to do is to get on the bed and sleep”

“You haven't had dinner.”

“I'm not hungry” she replied untangling his arms and walking to the bed, Kade almost ran his fingers through his head, frustrated. He was really trying to keep it together to contain his rage. He had never had patience for anyone this much aside from Valentina, but Serena was really pushing it, and soon she will get to feel his wrath.

“That wasn't up for discussion, you don't want to share the same room with me. You don't want to work in my company. Now, you are skipping dinner. That is never going to happen in this house. As long as it's breakfast time, lunch or dinner everyone gathers to eat, and you will join us. If you even say no with that mouth of yours, I will punish you right now” He drew closer, locking eyes together with her. She was intimidated.

That has never happened before. Serena was a business woman who was always in control, but ever since meeting Kade, and him blackmailing her, she seems to have lost all her confidence whenever he was around. She felt suffocated, intimidated.

“You don't have to come so close anytime you're talking to me, stop invading my personal space” she attempted to move away but Kade held her down.

“Why? Does it affect you? Does it make your heart race?”

Her eyes almost parted at that moment and she pushed him away. “No it doesn't. It makes me annoyed. I'm going down for dinner you can stay here or join me” She hurried out of the room before he could get to say another thing.

Seeing how cute she ran, Kade shook his head. Why am I feeling this way towards her? I should hate her. She is the daughter of Alberto. She has made me lose deals because I know Serena has been the one in charge of that company. She was the brain box. Alberto only took the credit because he cannot beat knowing that she beat him.

With that he took out his phone and called him, William, his best friend and Beta. He picked on the first ring.

Alpha Kade” He said so formally, almost trying to tease him.

“Where are you? I want to introduce you to my mate,” Kade asked.

“You found her?” William was utterly shocked from the other end.

Kade has never cared about his mate even when he brought it up for him as his Beta and best friend, he wanted him to settle down, have kids, start building a family. He almost knocked his teeth off and reminded him that even if he's dead anyone can be the Alpha as long as they are capable. He wasn't looking forward to continuing his lineage.

“Tell me what it is, I will have it delivered right now. I really have to meet this woman,” William insisted.

“Hold your horses, what I want you to deliver is very important. I need one of my toys around her neck. I'm sure you can make that available”

“Kade, you are not trying to–” He knew what he meant. Kade cannot love normally, he has never been interested in anyone. The women he meets are just one night stand for fun but hearing him say that he was both happy and scared.

“Why do you need it?”

“I finally found my mate, not that I was looking for her. But she turns out to be the daughter of the man I hate the most aside from Julian and has been the one who has been robbing my company of our clients. Do you think I would jump up and get excited? I'm going to make her pay for what she did and what better way to do that than to remind her that she was nothing but Kade’s pet” An evil smile curled up his lips.

“You wouldn't care about all that in the past and most of those deals you didn't even want them. Our company hasn't faced any major loss so what’s your obsession with this mate of yours?”

“I'm not obsessed, I just want to teach her how to be obedient to her elders.” Kade was talking when he heard a baby cry from the other end.

“Are you babysitting?”

“Yes, my wife has to go to her shift at the hospital. She got called in. Didn't your sister get called in?”

“Valentina is a doctor. She wasn't.” Kade reminded him again that his wife was a nurse at St.Helena while his sister was a doctor so their shifts are not always the same.

“You are right.”

“I have to go for dinner. Have fun baby sitting. You are a good man, Williams, I wouldn't do that for any woman.” He ended the call before William could reply. The thought of taking care of a child creeped him out much more, changing diapers and playing a father. “It's dinner time,” a servant entered to call him.
