The Enemy Alpha Claimed Me

One of the servants went to get the door and when she opened it she saw Mr. Damon Moreno standing at the doorstep with two of his bodyguards right behind him.

“Mr Moreno, what are you doing here so late?” The servant stumbled upon her words and Damon looked at her trying to figure out why she couldn't look him in the eyes. “I've come to collect my debt. Is your boss Julian home?” Mr Moreno asked but still did not step out of the way, making Damon groan.

“Do I have to tell you to step out of the way?”

“I'm sorry, it's just that now is not a good time. Mr Moreno and my boss Mr Julian, did not inform me of your visitation so I thought maybe you've come to the wrong place”

“Do I need to be invited to come and take my debt? Julian had the audacity to get married when he still owes me huge money to me and my family. Perhaps my leniency had been overlooked and he had taken it for weakness. Now get out of the way or I will smash your head against the wall” Damon Moreno was just as he was described; cold, manipulative and ruthless.

Some have even insinuated that he was a psychopath who didn't care about anyone except for himself.

There were rumors that when his father passed away he didn't cry, he didn't blink an eye he just stared at his corpse with no emotions running through his eyes.

He was Julian's friend at some point if anyone would call him that since they attended the same high school and college, but Damon has never been open to anyone and didn't like Julian.

He hasn't failed to show his resentment towards the man, but Julian was always coming close, wanting to rub shoulders with him hoping that one day they would be great friends, but he was mistaken because all Damon saw was a business transaction.

That was why when Julian’s company needed a loan when he hit rock bottom last year, the only one he could think of to give him the loan was Damon, he had a fortune to his name and an empire.

His pack members whispered that his empire was built on the sweat and blood of innocent people but no one really knows the truth.

He was equally Kade’s rival in the business world and the only person whom Kade thought was a worthy competitor.

There were rumors that he equally belonged to a Mafia organization, which was how he overthrew his Alpha and began to rule the shadow pack as well, but these were just all rumors. No one has really confirmed, but the way Damon Moreno operated was to be questioned. He hated when people encroach in his territory, and wouldn't hesitate to punish anyone who comes to his territory as a spy.

He equally hated when someone showed up at his company, uninvited nor in his house. He dislikes employees who stole from him and doesn't hesitate to punish them, mostly by ending their life and the ones who betrayed him don't live to see the next day he gets his revenge somehow. That was exactly how Kade acted.

The maid servant was terrified and uncertain what to do, she kept quite not sure if she should let him in and avoid being punished by Damon Moreno. But then if she disobeys her boss and not inform him of the man who was at the doorstep, Julian was going to deal with her after this.

This was a tricky situation and she was still wondering what to do when Serena's scream echoed through the door and that got Damon's attention.

“What's that?” He asked and the woman roamed her eyes as if trying to figure out the next lie to come out from her mouth.

Seeing that nothing good was going to come out from her Damon Moreno pushed her out of the way and stormed into the house together with his bodyguard just in time to see Julian about to whip Serena, something in Damon flipped and he saw himself rushing over and holding his hand.

He pushed him away and looked at the woman lying on the floor bleeding and crying. She looked so innocent and delicate seeing her brutally hurt, his adrenaline rushed up and he narrowed his eyes towards Julian.

“You did this?”

“Relax, Mr Moreno. I was just teaching my sister some manners, there's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure you do hit your sister when they step out of line right?” Just as the word escapes from his mouth, Damon Moreno throws a hard punch on his face.

Surprised, he attempted to fight back but the bodyguards pulled out their guns and pointed it at him daring him to take one more step towards their boss and they would not hesitate to blow out his brains even if he was the Alpha.

That would give Kade an upper hand to overtake the pack like he wanted and add it to territory.

“I don't hurt my sister. I protect her and I cherish her. Sophia is the only one who I can tolerate, but you did this to her.”

“Why are you meddling? She pissed me off. She chose to take the side of that bastard, Alpha Kade, instead of me. Do you know how that made me feel?” Julian was still salty, always trying to justify his actions, which was one of the reasons Kade loathed him.

He wasn't just mean and arrogant, he was a narcissist who lived in a delusion that he couldn't be wrong about anything.

“I don't care about your personal problems, you hurt a woman and under Moreno law you do not hurt women and children” He said in a different accent, almost sounding like an Italian.

Julian had suspected he was born there, but wouldn't dare question him since they weren't that close. Damon always reminded him of that.

“I see you are here about your debt. I was going to get the money after my marriage with Serena pushes through but then Kade ruined everything and the money isn't complete. I need more time. If you can't do that for your friend, at least for old times sake, we were once roommates, college buddies” Julian walked to the bar and poured himself a drink and one for Damon Moreno even though he knew he wouldn't drink.

He doesn't eat or drink outside. He doesn't trust anyone. His father was poisoned by someone close to him and since then he has been wary of anyone coming too close except his sister and mother.

He didn't even trust his bodyguards, though they have been loyal to him for more than ten years, yet there was just this little voice in his head that wouldn't really let him be.

Julian sipped his drink.

“You are not my friend, you are just the pest I couldn't get rid of, so here's a deal for you, since you cannot pay, and I don't like being owed for too long. We are going to settle the deal with her,” he pointed at Nora, who could barely move her eyes to see the face of the man making a bargain with her life.

The servants were all stunned. Is this the day? They thought. The day someone saves

“A deal?” Julian was confused.

“Consider that money you owed me, a payment for your sister. From this moment on, I own her and you are to stay far away from her. If I ever see you hurt her again you will be sorry. Do I make myself clear? I don't care about your fight with Kade, you can settle that yourself, but I am taking her.”

Julian was surprised he would want to take Nora. He never thought anyone would care about his sister this way.

“Yes we have a deal. She's all yours,” he stated while boiling with rage. He was taking his play thing away from him and that didn't sit well with him. Now he will just have to find a way to take Serena away from Kade.
