Chapter 6

Elaine

It was late evening, tapos na kaming nag dinner at nagpapahinga na rin sila Tita Sophie sa kanilang kwarto, I'm with Haley. Tita Sophie had decided na kami na lang ni Ley ang mag sama sa kwarto, sa kabila naman si Nanay at yung isa pang katulong. Sky decided to take his room... alone! Away niyang may kasama sa kwarto, he never wished to have someone beside him on bed. Naisip ko tuloy, paano na kung kinasal na kami? HAHAHA!

Baka it's an exemption naman, siguro "What are you laughing at?" Haley suddenly pulled the hem of my night gown, nandito kasi ako sa may veranda, super lamig ng hangin dito, I'm wearing my sweater and yet nilalamig parin ako!

I looked down at LEY "Am I laughing?" balik tanong ko sa kanya, she frowned

"Okay... Why are you smiling?" she raised her left eyebrow, this clever little girl really has a great future! Talino, just like his brother!

"Am I smiling?" I teased her

Nilagay niya ang both hands niya sa beywang niya and gazed at me "Oh! I KNEW IT!" she almost shouted "SI KUYA NANAMAN ANG PINAPANTASYA MO NO!" Oh this kid! I tried to cover her mouth pero agad siyang tumakbo while laughing at me!

"Ikaw talaga Ley!" habol ko sa kanya, agad siyang lumabas ng kwarto namin while crackling, I ran after her pero agad rin siyang nakapasok sa kwarto nila Tita Sophie. Grabe andaya!

"I guess okay na ang ankle mo..." I almost jump ng marinig ko ang boses na iyon, I looked back "Hindi na ba nananakit?" dugtong niya, I know that the voice came from Sky, tunog palang ng lakad niya alam ko na, kahit shadow palang niya alam ko ng siya yun, I know everything about Sky, I already said that! Pero this time I swear hindi ko namalayan na nasa likod ko na siya!

"I'm talking to you!" medyo may authority ang boses niya, but still she looks so incredibly handsome sa white v-neck shirt niya at gray-patterned pajamas, oh bakit hindi na lang siya nag boxers? Ahihihi!

"A-ah, o-oo eh hindi na masakit!" sagot ko sa kanya while looking down at the fluffy alpombra na suot ko ngayon

"Bakit ganyan ang suot mo?" he asked me "Sana nagpajama ka na lang! It is cold..." and then looked away 

"Ah, okay lang, meron naman akong sweater so it keeps me warm..." I answered him "Bakit hindi ka pa pala tulog?"

"Sinong makakatulog with all the noise you're making with Ley?" pagtataray niya

"Huh? Eh kasi siya eh... a-ah.. ano kasi..." kasi si Ley!!! Ang ingay!!!

"Is t-that true?" he asked me again, napatingin ako sa kanya

"True, what?"

"T-That..." sagot niya na parang nahihiya, I stepped forward and walked closer to him, he almost whisper na kasi.

"That?" I asked him and waited, I saw his adam's apple moved.

"T-That you're thinking of me..." he finally said, I don't know what happened that moment pero sobrang mag palpitate ang heart ko!

"Y-yes..." I honestly answered him "Lagi naman eh..." I looked down "Ikaw lang naman itong ayaw maniwala atsaka-" I was shocked when he suddenly grabbed my left hand hindi ko na naituloy ang sasabihin ko, I looked at him, pero hindi ko mahuli ang tingin niya, I think he's kinda shy or what?

"L-let's go sa kitchen..." he said and he pulled me

"What are we going to do there?" I asked him habang pilit na hinahabol ang mabilis na paglakad niya and he is holding my hand... tightly, take note of that! Ahaha!

"Want to drink some milk... coffee... or tea?" he murmured "What do you want?" he asked me while standing in front of the fridge "You want pizza?" he asked me again, pero hindi parin siya makatingin "Iiinit ko..." he is about to get the few cuts of pizza when I pulled his hand

"No!" I stopped him "Hindi ako gutom..." I hold his hand tightly "Sky?" I asked him

"Hmm?" he closed the fridge

"Can we stay like this for a longer time?" I slightly raised our entwined hands "It keeps me warm and comfortable" I asked him... sweetly!

I felt he slightly squeezed my hand; can I take that for a YES? I beamed

"I'll take you to your room..." he said, I nodded

He entered my room... no, our room pala, pero wala parin si Haley "I guess doon na matutulog yung bulinggit..." he said, maybe he noticed na hinahanap ko si Ley.

We walked to the veranda, it feels so comfortable and safe when I'm with Sky, sabi ng iba I'm being so dumb for chasing him, I just answer them, wala eh, tinamaan ako eh, mahal ko eh. I can't lose him; I love him that's all I know!

He cleared his throat, I can still see his perfect features kahit liwanag na lang from moon ang source of light namin, his pointed nose that he inherited from his father, his pinkish and kissable lips na namana niya kay Tita Sophie, his eyebrows, cheeks, eyes, neck.... everything... everything is perfect!

"Elaine Co..." he started to talk "Do you have something to say?" I looked at our hands

"Nothing... I feel so contented with this position..."

I saw him bit his lower lip "Then listen to me..." I looked at him, Oh I just love looking at him like this, buo na agad ang isang linggo ko!

"You have to be careful all the time..." he said "I can't... I can't always protect you..." he sounds so concerned "J-just be careful..."he is still looking at the moon. He didn't even give me a glance.

"But I want you to protect me..." I said "I want you to be there for me..." I gulped "I want you to stay beside me... forever..."

He looked down, yes he is much taller than me "I will..." that two simple words touched my heart "I will be there for you... always remember that... but please..." he cupped my face "Please promise me that you will always be careful in every action you'll make... that you will not let anyone... I MEAN IT... anyone touch you, embrace you, or carry you like I do..." I can't explain what I feel right now, it's like... URGH! It's like in a fairytale, a scene where the prince is going to kiss the princess! OH-MY-GOSH! "T-that... that you will not get tired of me..."

I felt the heat on my face "Promise me..." he said pleadingly

"I promised..." I answered him, I saw him smiled, smile with contentment...

"Goodnight..." he whispered and kissed my forehead... 

MY FOREHEAD? SERIOUSLY SKY? MOMENT NA NATIN TO, SA FOREHEAD PARIN?

"Goodnight... I love you..." hinatid ko na siya ng tingin palabas ng pinto but before he totally went out of my room, he looked back at me

"Sorry... sorry about kanina... How I treated you... I shouldn't have done that..." Saka siya ngumiti at tuluyan na lumabas ng kwarto

I felt my knees shaking, agad akong tumakbo sa kama ko at ibinagsak ang buong katawan "AAAAAHHHHH!" I shouted while slapping my face

Unti-unti ko ng nararamdaman ang katas ng pinaghirapan ko! HAHAHA!
