They had passed three blocks of warehouses in the abandoned industrial area when they reached a small exit road from the highway. They didn’t see any landmarks or residential areas that indicated where they were, but the unmistakable sound of heavy highway traffic suggested that they hadn’t been taken too far from the city. It surprised Ciaran that a large, abandoned area like this existed.
Ciaran walked to the exit road on their left and hailed a taxi as it left the highway.
