18 Six years before the Community “Congratulations, my girl!” her father exclaimed, clapping her on the back. Sara smiled, though she was sweating heavily under her black graduation gown and eager to get back indoors. “One more picture!” her mother said, arranging the cap on her head at a different angle. “I think the tassel’s wrong,” Sara said, reaching up to switch which side it hung from. “Hurry up now,” her dad said. “We all want to get inside.” Her mom shot him a look. “Be patient.
