“Happy anniversary!” Zach said, lifting his glass of expensive champagne toward her.
Sara clinked her glass against his. “Congratulations on closing the series B!”
“Can you believe it’s been two whole years?” he asked, sipping the champagne.
“Of our relationship or One?” she asked, grinning.
He waved a hand. “It’s been two and a half years of One. Now…to at least two and a half more!”
They toasted again and she laughed. “Not trying to sell before then?”
“I love my job, Sara,” he replied, very earnest. “And,” he added pointedly, “I love you.”
“Glad I made the list.”
“Right behind innovation and genius and success!”
