Everything coming out of my mouth sounded like an excuse, but that was what Ani wanted. They gave me a chance to explain my side of the story, so I did. I told them about my previous plans, the titans, and how much power I needed to wake them. Of course, that doesn't justify my actions.
I gave dark power to the wrong creatures, and soon everyone realized I was the one behind many of their fight.
I avoided looking at their faces, too ashamed to dare ask for forgiveness.
Once I was done, I looked at my mate. "I know I'm not worthy of being part of this family, and I'm not asking you to welcome me.
