Chapter One

I looked at my brother, who tried to hide his smirk by taking a sip of his champagne. He walked up to me and when he took my hand he looked at the tattoo of a rose on my ring finger with a stem and vines that wrapped around my wrist. "New ink?" He asked with a smile. I raised my eyebrow and answered with a smirk as we made our way to my glowering mother and father. I turned to dance with my brother before he moved aside and I was facing my future husband. He towered above me I reached the exact middle of his torso. I couldn't help but feel slightly intimidated, I gave him a small smile and his large hand rested on my hip I placed mine on his heart and his fingers laced through mine. We swayed in silence my parents looked satisfied as he leaned to whisper in my ear. "Don't read into this all I am doing is making my parents happy so I can take over my father's position in the company, a part of me ached when the full reality of our situation set in. I looked at him for the first time. His eyes shone a bright hazel and his almost blue black hair was pushed to the back. I almost giggled when I saw something else. "You have man bun?" I looked at him barley holding in my laughter. "Something to hold on for the women I f**k darling." His voice sent my mind on quite the ride speaking of ride the image of me riding this man made my abdomen clench in anticipation. He's deep smooth voice interrupted my thoughts. "You won't be one of those women little one." With that he walked away from me leaving me flushed and angry I could not even think of an answer as I watched his back as he walked away from me. "What a f*****g asshole." "I heard that." He said without turning around. I made my way outside still successfully avoiding my parents. I lit the cigarette that I had been hiding for an emergency now seemed like the perfect moment. I heard the sounds of loud gasps in the distance only to see my brother against a tree with a blonde; it took a lot of squinting for me to realize who it was Chloe. My best friend she has had feelings for him for as long as I can remember. He is a few years older and he always kept her at an arm's length. He had me convinced that he never felt anything for her in return, but I remember he's reaction when he saw her start to move on the cloud of loss and sadness in his eyes. And yet here he was finally fighting for her I could not help the flood of tears that gripped my heart, I stood there watching them smile at each other I was saddened that I would not be having something that beautiful for a few years. I turned to go back inside only to see my future husband grabbing a hand full of some bimbo's ass. Not any bimbo the one who married a 80 year old when he passed she got everything. I suppose this is the type of s**t I'll have to get used to seeing for five years. Five f*****g years.
