WHEN I WAS A KID, we were always asked, “What is the happiest moment in your life?”. And I think it’s the hardest question to answer. Dahil hindi ko alam kung ano bang pinakamasayang pangyayari sa buhay ko.
Happiest moment, huh? Not even Christmas or New Year. Most especially not my birthday.
I don’t have one. So, I would always leave it blank without an answer.
I would silently look at my classmates from afar who were giddily answering that stupid question.
I despised it, or maybe I was jealous. Because while they were answering that question, thinking of their happiest moment, mine was blank.
Akala ko hindi ay hindi ko na mararanasan iyon.
“What did you say?” tanong ko kay Calista dahil para bang hindi ko narinig nang maayos ang sinabi niya.
