Caleb eased back to let her breathe, telling himself repeatedly to go gently with her as she was still visibly weak. Why did she kiss him? He still couldn't make sense of it. Although he knew she was doing this because of the heat, he couldn't stop himself from giving in. He had been longing for this since he marked her, and had been fighting so hard to control himself at least until she was stronger, but who knew she would come shattering everything?
A few minutes ago, he had left the bed and headed for the bathroom for a cold shower to calm his raging desires. After spending some time in the shower, he wrapped a towel around his waist and started heading out, only to find a falling Jasmine by the door.
