Bill's Pov
Sports Psychology is a compulsory course for every athlete. Regardless of your discipline, you must take the course to be able to play. Psychology was easy for me. Being the bastardized child of one of Canada's richest men meant you had to toughen up to a lot of critiques and although my mom eventually married him and is still married to him, some stigmas never leave.
But just when I decide to build my image back up, that little witch comes around and turns me into a laughingstock again. I'm never forgive her.
Where is she now that I need someone to mess with in class? The other girls here are just dumps and only here because the class is filled with athletes.
"Why do you keep looking around, Mr Balloons?" Rick said with a grin on his face. 'Yup, this is why I'm never letting her get away with it,' I thought to myself. "Well, nothing," I replied to him, "Just hungry," I added,
"Me three," Damian said, joining us.
"Why is everyone late for class today? " I asked without thinking.
"Who else is late? " Damian asked, looking around trying to figure out which of the hockey guys in our level wasn't there, he locked eyes with Max, our other roommate, and waved at him before hurrying to sit down as soon as the professor walked in.
"Yeah, who else is late?" Rick asked in a voice that was almost a whisper so as not to disturb the class. He wasn't letting anything get past him but in and outside the court.
I just shrugged and pointed to the professor, "He was late.
"And since when do you care about the class?" Rick asked
At this point, I was done answering him, so I just straight up ignored him, because the professor had started speaking and I pretended to give her all my attention. Now if someone would just come, this class would seem way more interesting.
I scanned the room and just Then I see her sneaking into the back of the class bent down.
The professor did not almost see her and that would have been too easy, so I decided to call out to her. "Hi Green!" I called out to her as she is still in the crouch position and the professor finally noticed her.
"Miss Green1, what did I say about coming late to my class?"
"I am very sorry professor," Green said, looking flushed from the embarrassment now that the entire class now had their attention on her.
"It is unlikely for you to be late to my class. Why are you late today? "Even Rick was here early.
Rick raised both his hands in protest, feeling attacked.
"I overslept Sir, I had a very exhausting day yesterday."
"I will excuse you for just today, but not a second time."
"Thank you professor."
"Now sit down and stop disrupting my class."
Professor Timothy turned to face the class. "I am sure you all have my assignments done and ready for submission?" He scanned the faces of everyone before continuing, "I won't be in town for the assessments, so I intend to use that as a substitute and if you dan't have it today, I suggest you work harder for the exams"
I turned to look at Rick because we all know how he hates to do his assignment, or more accurately does not have time left after his rendezvous to actually get around to doing his work and true enough, as I turned to look at him, he turned to look at Damian who gave him a positive nod.
I can't complain at this point. At least he did it somehow and the team is still intact to play. A win is a win.
"If you did not do the assignment, may I ask you to signify with a show of hands? "The professor asked the class, and surprisingly, only a few hands were up, and even more surprisingly, Green had her hand up. "Well will you look at that?" I thought to myself, a smile slowly forming on my lips.
"Wow miss Green, you seem to be on a roll today. First, you are late, and now you did not do my assignment I gave over a week ago," The professor said to her with disappointment in his voice.
And for some reason Green was glaring at me.
"Oh f**k" I know the reason, a smile starts to form on my lips. Now who said psychology was not fun?
The glass ended, and I hurried to get to Green before she left. I meet her just as soon as she steps onto the walkway.
"An exhausting day yeah?" I said with a smuggish look on my face, and oh, boy was I enjoying this
She ignores me obviously and starts to walk away, but I was not done having my fun yet, so I followed after her.
"Must have been really exhausting walking all the way back to the hostel from the court." Now I have her full attention.
"That was you, how could you Beloony?"
"How could I what?" I asked, totally enjoying this.
"I was wondering what kind of sick psycho would pull such a sick trick and forgive me for thinking someone like you was above that when clearly it's not beneath you."
"You are not forgiven, but you can be beneath me, now that I won't mind at all."
"What exactly do you want from me, Bill? I barely have enough time for myself between classes and my part-time job and now this. Are you happy that I might fail the course thanks to you and..."
"And who?" I asked, wanting to know who else had the right to cause her discomfort except me.
"And nothing!" she yelled. "Please stay away from me and out of my life for crying out loud!" she yelled again. I really love it when I am able to get her to this point.
Pure bliss
"I don't want to," I said, trying to keep a straight face, but I ended up laughing, and she just scoffed and walked away.
"See you later at Rodney's." I called after her and just then the boys caught up with me.
She turned and gave me both middle fingers while walking backwards.
'The highlight of my class'!
