e made our way home later that night. I was exhausted after working so hard to make the store look as if we had rearranged everything. Despite that though we had gotten it finished and it will be ready for opening tomorrow morning. I was more than excited to get it open and our lives back on track. Also, starting my life with Jake. I knew everything was going to be okay. That is until I got home.
Pulling into the yard at the ski lodge I noticed a few cop cars sitting outside. I hope nobody is in trouble, s**t, what if it had something to do with Shawn or his dead father. s**t, I hope nobody will know it was me or my mother. I stepped out of my car and made my way inside quickly. Royce was there along with the town’s Sherriff and deputy.
