verybody was exhausted by the time we got home. Instead of cooking we ordered about two dozen pizzas and sat around the main room television. Flipping it on, we huddled in on blankets and pallets to watch movies. I could tell how excited this kind of family time made Lakoda as she practically bounced into the lodge with Laken on her hip and both girls in comfortable clothes. She had the biggest smile on her face.
I did have to admit though the Cain’s knew how to have family time and they did it often. That was something I truly enjoyed with them as well. We always had fun when it was declared family time. Especially, when the guys would tell us stories of their crazy childhoods. I think those times were better than the movies we rented.
My mom and Malcolm skipped out tonight.
