eah, I have to go to the office for an emergency surgery.” I called out to her from the living room. I grabbed my keys and shoes and started to rush out the door.
“Oh no, be careful babe.” Leah called out.
I slammed the door and jumped into my truck peeling out and down the road to the vet clinic. The patient I was meeting was a new one. I’ve never met them before. I didn’t even think to ask what kind of animal was needing me.
I pulled into the clinic just as another truck came flying in. The tailgate was down and the biggest grizzly bear I have ever seen was laid out on top of it. Bullet wound to his chest. Lakoda came out of the back of the clinic with the biggest gurney we had. Clearly, she had been watching trough the security system for us.
