Chapter 2: Understanding Law Through School

Class was much more boring than I expected. I knew it was about law and stuff but it dragged on like there would be no end.

Roman was not interested in the class at all. He didn't even take notes but there were a lot of doodles, 2 whole pages of doodles. I'm glad I brought a laptop.

So as class finished, I had one more later, I went to find my dorm as I needed to figure that out.

Turns out my dorm was pretty big for just on person and I was fine with it being for one person, I didn't like rooming with people I didn't like or know.

Someone knocked on my door, I opened it with an annoyed sigh. "What?" Oh. It was Roman.

"Whoa what bit you? I was just coming to say hi. I'm next door to you."

"Oh really? That's... Nice. You have a roommate then?"

"Nah." He seemed disappointed for some odd reason. "But it's nice. The view is nice. You got a roommate then?"

"No. And I'd prefer it that way." I wasn't gonna beat around the bush.

Roman seemed rather disappointed when I told him I'd prefer not to have a roommate but it was so fleeting I must have been imagining it.

"Right," Roman mumbled under his breath. "So what classes do you have tomorrow then?"

We chatted for a while like this. We didn't have classes so we sat and talked and played games. Roman eventually fell asleep on my chair on the desk but I couldn't be bothered to wake him up. He did look tired before.

He also looked rather pretty now. I shook that thought out of my head. I just met this guy. No way, I'm gonna go sleep.

I stared out of the window for a few seconds. The sky looked so calming and happy.

The same dream or nightmare maybe? It came back. The same boy on the same riverside. But it seemed to get more violent in terms of imagery. He seemed to hold my heart and not a flower like last time. My heart... I couldn't tell if this person was too nice to me. Maybe they were and they controlled me?

I woke up. Roman was nowhere to be seen so it seemed he left. Without him in the room it felt empty. I got used him this quick? That was strange.
