As I got up and out of bed, there was something glittering on my floor. It was a leaf pin adorned in little diamonds.
It seemed so familiar to me but I couldn't put where I've seen it. I picked it up and looked at it. Must have been Roman's and it fell off when he left the room.
I wasn't sure where Roman went so I safely put it away into my coat pocket.
It was still relitavely dark outside as it was 7am. It was also a Saturday so I got ready, took a warm shower and everything. I decided it'd be a good idea to go home and check in with my mother and sister - if she was there - to see how they're doing.
So I off I went. It was an hour walk at the pace I was going but I didn't mind it. A little excersie never hurt anyone plus it was a nice day, minus the cold.
By the time I got home, my hand were practically freezing off. I somehow managed to forget my gloves which was wierd as I always kept them in my coat pocket. I knocked on the door of my house half expecting no one to answer the door but to my surprise my sister opens it.
She smiles brightly as if she hasn't seen me in years.
"Hello, hermano." She ruffled my hair knowing I hate it and smirked.
"Stop it, Lia! You know I hate that. I'm not that much of a child anymore." I pushed her to the side, entering the house and taking my coat and shoes off.
"You know, you shouldn't be this rude to your older sister."
"Just because your older doesn't mean I need to be nice to you all the time. Where's mama?" I ask looking around the living room and kitchen.
"Oh yeah. She went shopping for dinner, she'll be back soon probably." She closed the door and stepped in as well.
"Ah cool. Well I'll go to my room then and just surprise her." I looked at her and she just gave me a thumbs up.
I wasn't sure if that secretly meant 'Okay but I'll still tell mum' or 'Okay you do you'. And I didn't know if either were good.
Lia was a very laid back person, sometimes it led to trouble and sometimes it didn't.
A few hours went by and as I went downstairs, I saw my mum. I didn't even hear her come back home.
She let out a surprised gasp and hugged me. "My baby! You're back. So how are you doing? Tell me every detail."
