Chapter 1: Su Lan
(Before starting with this chapter, please read the introduction first.)
"Ah ha ha..." A girl in a hospital gown took deep breaths as she tried to catch her breath. Cold sweats soaked her forehead, her face was very pale, as if she had just drowned. She sat herself up the bed, steadying her rapidly beating heart.
People in white coats went inside the room that she was in, and quickly ran to her bedside. Each of their faces was tense, some even trembled, and some were excited and expectant. They all looked at the screen beside her at the same time, and then their expressions seemed to ease.
"Young madam, how do you feel now?" One of them approached her and touched her arm. The girl on the hospital bed immediately became alert and twisted the man's arm, which eventually became sore because of the force that she use.
She looked at the man who was already on the floor, curling up in pain. Actually, she controlled the force that she used or otherwise that man's arm should be disabled right now, he should be thankful that he was just in pain.
Just as she was watching the man wince in pain, her head suddenly throbbed. She held her head on one hand, trying to endure the pain. Usually, things such as being shot, stabbed, cut, or being hit wouldn't hurt her to the point of testing her endurance. But this headache really hurts like hell!
How unbelievable!
While she was complaining how her head hurts, foreign memories came flooding in her head.
The people in white panicked again seeing her in pain. They all came running to her side, but no one dare to get too close nor touch her, they just asked her helplessly if she was ok or what hurts.
This scene continued on for not longer than two minutes and the girl on the bed straightened her self up and calmly leaned on the elevated headrest of the bed. Acting as if nothing happened earlier.
'Ha, so I'm dead... how amusing,' she smirked as she scoffed at herself. That smirk just added a devilish tinge on her beautiful face .
Watching her actions, the people in white were immersed in her smirking beautiful face and wasn't able to come to their senses until the girl glanced sideways to the man nearest to her.
"Where's my mom?" She asked the man with an indifferent voice.
As what she could tell by those memories that she just received, this girl was quite close with her parents, specially her mom, but that wouldn't last for too long because of one particular person. Just thinking of that person made her bloodthirst surge.
"Ma-Madam already went home after being here for a week. Ms. Xi persuaded her to rest home earlier," the man said to her, acting like a little lackey reporting to his boss.
The girl withdrew her eyes at him. She was used to people acting like this towards her, even people who didn't know her at all. Its because her presence itself make people yield to her and offer themselves to her.
"Then when can I go home?" She said as she fiddled with the tube inserted in the vain of her hand. Just right after she finished her words, a man in a refined white lab coat entered the room, holding a notepad and a pen in his white hands. The people in the room where wearing the same thing as him but they didn't look as representable as he did.
"Young miss, you we still have to observe you for a couple of days to make sure that you are completely fine, so please be patient with us." He told her in an impassive tone.
She looked towards him, assessing him boldly. She looked at him up and down with her breathtakingly beautiful eyes that made the other men in the room feel jealous for some reason. He was no doubt the most attractive person amongst the other people who entered the room earlier. He have beautifully defined facial features, worthy for a world class model. A gold rimmed eye glasses sat on the bridge of his pointy nose, but it didn't make him less of a hottie, but rather made made him look more professional.
This must be Su Ye, the past owner's second eldest cousin. The original owner and this man in front of her didn't meet often, so she didn't really have much recollection of him.
"No need to stay here for a day or two, do it within an hour." She looked at him straight in the eyes, as she said these words in an ordering tone. He also looked at her straight in the eyes, making their eyes contact.
He was quite baffled because he knew that his younger cousin was too dense to even be at the same room with him, more so have aye contact with him.
He slightly frowned as he continued to stare at her.
The people in the room could feel the tension between the both of them, they felt it was weird but just chose to keep their mouth shut because the both of them were too scary.
They were amazed at the girl, even they would tremble in fear after being looked at by his scrutinizing eye, but she faced him eye to eye, isn't she just bold!
If they were to choose between losing their job and having to stare at him in the eye, they would rather be jobless for the rest of their lives!
"Young madam, we can't do that without full considerations that your already fine. So please just bear with us for a couple of days." 'There he go again with the "Young madam" thing, if you want to play then please continue to amuse me.' She said in her head, looking at him with amused eyes.
"Ok then, I'll follow the doctor's words." She said as she smiled at him, pretending to be a nice and obedient girl. She would like to play his game of not knowing each other, lets just see who does it better!
Besides, there's no need for her to rush, she still needs to know her current situation and deal with it first before doing whatever she wants freely . She have all the time in the world to deal with those lowly fools, so just let them have their fun for a while, then it'll be her turn soon.
Moreover, she could use some vacation for herself, and this hospital room is quite cozy and luxurious and she's also a VIP member, fits her taste just right. The nurses and her cheap cousin is here so she wouldn't get bored, so its all perfect!
Sigh, it really is good to be rich...
Sadly, she didn't have the chance to enjoy whatever she had in her past life because some pest stole it from her. And according the unclear situation of hers right now, she may not enjoy being rich here either! Just how unpleasant this is!
Fortunately, she has changed. It was time for her not to be a helpless thing, and time for those loathsome fools to pay!
