Part 19 - High School

Even though I wasn't going to prom, I saw Danisha and a few of my other friends off to prom. Matteo came with me, as we were going to head right down to the beach. "It's still not too late to come to prom!" Danisha laughed, "Even in your t-shirts and shorts." Danisha looked stunning in a yellow dress. She was going to prom with a guy from our graduating class named Brian, and they were just going as friends, but I knew there was a chance of them hooking up. Matteo was going to drive us down to the beach. We didn't want to get to the beach too late at night, as we still wanted to walk on the boardwalk, and possibly go out to dinner. Ocean City is about an hour and half from where we live in Pennsylvania, and the whole way down, I could tell that Matteo was excited to be spending the night there with me. Matteo never had emotions that were over the top. Unlike me, he doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve. He was smiling more though, and singing along to the songs he played, also drumming the steering wheel to the beat. "I'm so glad we are doing this." I said to him. "Same here." he agreed, "Way better than prom." Matteo and I checked into the hotel room, and then we planned on going out to dinner. I put on a pink sundress and straightened my hair, which had gotten quite long. I put on some makeup, and then walked out of the bathroom where I had been getting ready. Matteo walked up to me, "You look so pretty." he said, "I'm not used to seeing you in pink." "Thank you." I looked up at Matteo, "You look very handsome." Matteo shook his head and laughed, "No way." "No, listen to me." I said to Matteo, "You have no idea how attractive I find you." Matteo smiled at me, "Thank you, Cassidy. That means a lot to me." We went to a restaurant on the boardwalk, and we got some seafood- I got salmon and Matteo got Mahi Mahi. "This is really good." he said, "Company is even better." "Oh, you flatter me." I laughed, "But I agree. The salmon is delicious." Matteo held my hand and squeezed it from across the table. "This is the first time we've been to a nice restaurant together." I said to him. "I'm enjoying it." Matteo said, "You know, being down here with you, just us- it doesn't even feel like we are in high school. It just feels like we are two adults." "We're only in high school for two more weeks." I said, "And our relationship has always felt beyond high school to me." Matteo nodded, "It's always felt that way to me as well. I've hated high school. The whole time it's felt like prison, and I've just wanted to get on with my life. But I am super grateful that it made me meet you." I grinned at Matteo, "My first couple of years I cared about it all- popularity, impressing people, all of that. I stopped caring about it more my junior year, and then I really stopped caring this year. Especially after meeting you." "Hopefully that's a good thing." "It is. It most certainly is." I reassured Matteo, "I know there is so much more to life than high school." After dinner, Matteo and I walked on the boardwalk a bit- and we then saw that the beach was actually open at night for us to walk on. Matteo and I each took off our shoes, and he held them as we walked down by the wet sand, the waves lightly crashing on it. It was dark out, but the beach was lit up by all of the lights on the boardwalk and the hotels around. "Let's go on a walk." I said to him, "You told me the first time we hung out you love walks on the beach." Matteo put his arm around me that he wasn't carrying the shoes with, "I do. I find them to be peaceful." Matteo and I kept walking along the shore. There weren't many other people walking the beach, just some older couples who smiled as they walked past us. "You know, Cassidy- you're my yellow." Matteo said, "I know you wanted to be someone's 'yellow'. It was one of the first things I learned about you. You're mine." I couldn't help but to smile as I looked up at Matteo, "And you're mine. I wanted to be someone's yellow so badly, that I didn't even realize how amazing it would feel to have someone else be that for me." Matteo smiled at me, and he said, "A lot of my life the past few years has been very...gray. Especially since my dad died. You're the brightness that my life needed. You're my yellow." "I love you so much, Matteo." Matteo stopped walking and looked down at me, holding my hand with his free one, "I love you too. And I really think that I always will." Matteo leaned down and pulled my waist toward him, giving me a kiss. I could feel the heat between us as we pulled away. He then leaned into my ear and said, "I'd f**k you right here and now if we were alone on this beach." I closed my eyes for a moment, picturing Matteo inside me. "I think I'd prefer a bed. I don't want to get sand in places I've never had sand before." Matteo laughed, "Very fair point." We walked for a while more, Matteo's arm around me. I've never felt so at peace. "My dad used to take me to the beach all the time when I was younger." I said to Matteo, "It does bring back good memories." "Would he take you on walks?" Matteo asked me. "My brother and I were so young, we didn't have the patience for that. My dad would build sandcastles and dig holes with us. He loves the waves as well, getting crushed by them. The lifeguards used to always blow their whistle to him to come back to shore." I said, chuckling at the memory, "No wonder he moved to the beaches in California." Matteo looked down at me, "You don't talk about your dad much." "There's not a lot to say. I haven't seen him since I was 16, and the only reason for that was because he came into town for two days when his aunt passed away. When I see him, he's always fun to be around. But he's almost like a fun uncle you barely see that sends you a birthday card each year. He's not a dad." I said to Matteo, "It doesn't really bother me, though. I have my mom." "Would you go visit your dad?" Matteo asked me. "Maybe. I did once, in middle school. My dad was married at the time. I remember missing my mom a lot, and so did my brother. He would cry to me every night that he wanted to go home. My dad was out at the casino anyway after he put us to bed." Matteo squeezed my hand, "When was the last time you actually spoke to him?" "He called me on my birthday. And texted me a gif on New Years Eve. My brother actually talks to him more than I do." I said, "Right now he thinks my dad is really cool, because he talks about weed with him." Matteo and I kept walking, and eventually we turned back to walk to the hotel. When we got back to the hotel room, it was late, close to midnight. I knew what Matteo wanted. I wanted the same thing. I laid back on the bed, and he started kissing me, hovering over me. Eventually, he had me out of my dress, and he was just in his boxers. "I'll go get a condom." he murmured in my ear. When he came back, he said to me, "It'll be nice...not having to use one, if that's what you want." "I've never had s*x without one. I've heard it feels better." "I would imagine it does. I haven't either." Matteo said. I looked at him and said, "How about you...don't wear one tonight?" "What?" Matteo asked me, wide eyed. "You can pull out." I said, "Danisha does that, she's never gotten pregnant." Matteo looked at me, "Are you sure? I don't want you feeling pressured to do so just because I made a comment." "I want to." I said to Matteo, "I promise." Matteo threw the condom to the side, and placed himself in position to get inside me. "Oh, fuck." he breathed in my ear as he went in, without the condom on. "This feels amazing." I said, wrapping my legs around his waist. He started thrusting into me, and without the condom, he was even more aggressive. "Turn over." he said, flipping me into my stomach. I then arched up, giving him access to me doggystyle. He leaned over, grabbing my breasts and kissing my neck as he f****d me, thrusting in and out, and I couldn't help but to moan loudly- and he didn't last very long. I felt the warmth on my back as he came, not inside of me. I then felt him wipe it off me with his shirt. For a second I got nervous that something went wrong- and as I turned over I said to Matteo, "None of it got...inside me?" "No." he shook his head, "We're all good. It was tight- literally. But I pulled out in time." I chuckled at Matteo's joke, and he kissed me on the cheek. I changed into my pajamas, and Matteo put on basketball shorts. We laid down next to each other in the bed- and he put his arm around me. "This is something I could get used to. Me, you. Sharing a bed." "I love it." I said, "I could do this every night. You'd just have to watch a couple of SVU episodes with me before we fall asleep." "There's a TV in here." Matteo said, "Let's watch." Matteo wound up staying up even later than I did to watch SVU. I woke up at around 4:30 AM to him watching the show, not even looking tired. "Sorry, did I wake you?" Matteo asked me, "I was humming along to the theme song. It's pretty catchy." I kissed Matteo's cheek, laid back down, and then fell into a deep sleep again. Feeling safe as can be with Matteo.
