Part 30 - Present Day
Matteo was going to be moving his mom into the retirement home the weekend after July 4th weekend- and I knew that he was dreading it- but also at the same time I could tell it would be a weight off his shoulders. He asked me if I wanted to go to his cousin Vince's house for a July 4th barbecue. I had never met his cousin, however Matteo would talk about him quite a bit when we were younger. Vince lived with his fiancé in Philadelphia, and Matteo was going to drive us down to his house. I was nervous, as some of Matteo's other family would be there.
