Max knew he was up next but he still hurt all over. He had a heavy cast on his leg, and the poison still vibrated in his system. It wasn’t about to kill him, but he was not having a great time. He had hoped that the dumb wolf’s last match would have lasted longer. But no, again fate wasn’t with him. He eyed the dumb beast as it bounded through its head held high. “Why are you still a wolf?” Gideon shrugged and curled up in a corner giving Max a huge yawn before the animal supposedly went to sleep. “Whatever.” Max flexed his ankle and only winced a bit at the pain that resulted.
