The last thing he needed was her in the middle of this group. The one known as Frank stood in front of him, watching him. Nathan had refused to turn and sat by his side his ears flicking back and forth every so often. Max was looking around as if searching for someone, and Ollie looked terrified.
Frank broke the silence. “I’m not sure why you have decided to betray your employers, but obviously that’s not something that you’re going to get away with. If you want to lessen your punishment, there is but one way. Where is the angel? The AAE has been worried since her escort vanished without a trace.”
