1011 Words
As they drove home in silence, Samantha couldn't help but wonder what the future held for her. Would she ever break free from Solomon's grasp, or would she be condemned to a life of misery and fear? Finally, unable to bear the silence any longer, Samantha tried to come to an agreement with Solomon now that he had calmed down, Solomon, can we talk about this? Solomon's grip tightened on the steering wheel, his jaw clenching visibly. What is there to talk about? I just... I want to make you understand Samantha persisted, her voice barely above a whisper. Solomon let out a frustrated sigh. There's nothing to understand, Samantha. You've made your choice, and now you have to live with the consequences. Tears welled up in Samantha's eyes, but she blinked them back, refusing to show weakness. This decision wasn't mine to make, I had no choice. You had no choice? Solomon scoffed, his tone dripping with contempt. Don't delude yourself, Samantha. You could have rejected the marriage when your father told you about it. It's more complicated than that Samantha said as she avoided his gaze knowing that he was right and she could have rejected the marriage but he didn't know what her life was like in that house she can never say no to her father. Honestly, I didn't mean for any of this to happen, Solomon. I just wanted... What? What did you want, Samantha? Solomon interrupted, his voice laced with bitterness. To deceive me? To make a fool of me? Congratulations, you've succeeded. I didn't mean to do all that to you Samantha insisted, her voice trembling with emotion. I just... Just what? Solomon snapped, cutting her off again. Save your excuses, Samantha. I've heard enough lies for one night. Defeated, Samantha fell silent, knowing that there was no point in arguing further. As they pulled into the driveway of their home, she braced herself for what awaited her inside. Once he packed the car, Solomon dragged her from the car, his grip firm on her arm, he opened the door ignoring the staff that had come to greet him as he pulled her up the stairs then into a large bedroom. He pushed her forward into the room and locked it before turning to face her. The atmosphere was heavy with tension as he continued their conversation in the car. You think you can just manipulate me, Samantha? You're nothing but a conniving little liar Solomon spat, his eyes blazing with anger. Samantha trembled, her heart pounding in her chest, as Solomon's words cut through her like knives. She knew she had hurt him, but she never intended for this to happen. This was all her sister and father's fault. Solomon, please, I'm sorry she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper. But Solomon ignored her, his gaze cold and unforgiving. Enough of your apologies. Because I'm never going to forgive you. He moved closer, his eyes raking over her body with a predatory gleam. Now, strip, he ordered, his voice laced with authority. You have to fulfill your duties as my wife on our wedding night. Samantha's breath caught in her throat as the reality of her situation sank in. She felt powerless, trapped in a nightmare of her own making. Please, you don't want to do this? You're just angry. Samantha begged as Solomon let out a mocking laugh. You don't tell me what to do or want, Solomon spat, Now strip or I will do it for you. Please, just calm down Samantha said, trying to reason with Solomon, but he wasn't willing to listen as he approached her. Okay, stay back. i will do it myself Samantha said, her fear evident in her tone and eyes as she stared up at Solomon. With trembling hands, she began to undress, tears streaming down her face as she silently prayed this would end quickly. she knew he was angry but he can't do this to her, he can't force her to be with him, or can he? Samantha thought to herself as Samantha was about to remove her shirt. But then Solomon laughed at her, mocking her appearance. Look at you, do you know how ridiculous you look? Don't bother Samantha because I would never sleep with you, even if you were the last woman on earth. His words made relief wash over her, at least for the main time she was safe, and didn't have to sleep with him. Trembling with a mix of humiliation and relief , Samantha froze, her hands hovering over her shirt. Every fiber of her being screamed to run, to escape from this nightmare, but she knew there was no way out. Unable to bear the humiliation any longer, she clenched her fists, fighting back the tears threatening to spill from her eyes. Please, Solomon, just let me leave, I promise you, I will act as if I'm dead she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear and desperation. But Solomon only sneered at her, his contemptuous gaze never wavering. You don't deserve my pity, Samantha. You brought this upon yourself. With a heavy heart, Samantha lowered her gaze, her hands falling limply to her sides. She felt utterly powerless, trapped in a cruel reality she couldn't escape from. All she could do was endure the torment, praying for a way out of this mess Get out of my sight Solomon said as he pointed at the door, meet one of the maids they will show you your room. Okay Samantha said as she did as she was told, she walked towards the door and she was about to leave the room, Solomon said to her, Remember your promise and live like you're dead Solomon said as Samantha left the room and went looking for the maids who were going to show her room. Samantha didn't know that this marriage was going to be her personal hell, Samantha thought sadly if she would be able to survive this man as she walked aimlessly in the huge mansion.
