Not Quite A Mistake

Chapter 4-Georgia

I groan as I roll onto my stomach.I open my eyes and squint immediately at the bright,unfamiliar room infront of me.I cautiously turn my head to the left to see a man sleeping besides me.

"Oh no,"I whisper as I peek underneath the sheets only to see that I am infact as naked as the day I was born.I quickly stood up and ran naked across the room,in search for my clothes.I don't see them anywhere and quietly open the door.I step into a hallway and take a random turn.I clutch my head as the headache intensifies.I step into the posh living room and see my discarded dress on the floor by a couch and my underwear on the glass table.

I quickly run over and throw on my underwear and dress.I look into a hallway mirror and see my hair in a mess.I run my fingers through the knots and smooth them down.I grab my clutch and run to the door,quickly unlocking it with the key which hung by the hooks.I shut the door quickly and released a breath.This was so unlike me,I have never had a one night stand and definitely wasn't planning on it.But yet,the unexpect turns of events tempted me to.

I hurried to the elevator and pressed the button to the first floor.The metal doors opened and I stepped out and into the lobby.The lady behind the counter turned her nose up at me and I looked down,embarrassed.I pushed the glass doors open and exit the building.I looked up and saw that I was a little far from my house.

I sighed as I walked a little further before hailing a texi.An old man stopped and I climbed in the back.I told him my address and he nodded,beginning to drive in the direction.

"Are you okay ma'am?You look a little flustered,"the sweet man questioned and looked at me in the rearview mirror.

"Oh no,I'm fine,thank you,"I said and he nodded again.He parked on the side of the road next to my house and I climbed out,paying him.

"Thank you have a nice day,"I said and smiled at him.

"Likewise,"

I threw the door to my house open and saw I left the curtains open.

"Great,"I groaned and pulled themall the way open.Today was Saturday and I didn't want to go into the café hungover but I had to.I sighed as I looked at the time,07:12.I hurried to the bathroom and discarded my clothes.I stepped into the marbled shower and turned it to hot.I strepped under the water and it poured down on me.I could feel myself getting more alive as I scrubbed my body everywhere with my mango scented body wash.I took my shampoo and poured a little on my hand and began to message both my hair and scalp.

I rinsed myself off and stepped out.I put a towel on the my head and began drying my hair.The headache faded into a dull ache and I sent a silent thanks to the heavens.I dried myself off and walked towards my room.I opened the door and saw my curtains closed,thankfully.I went into my closet and chose a pair of black denim jeans and a simple long,white tee.I put on socks and ankle leveled boots.

I grabbed a coat from the hook and took it with me to the kitchen.I threw it on the chair and walked towards the coffee.I took out a mug and began making my coffee.I added milk and sugar before taking a big gulp and finishing it.

I grabbed my coat and beanie and headed towards the door,putting both on.I threw the door open and the cold air engulfed me.I walked down the sidewalk and looked up at the sky and saw it was cloudy and grey,as usual.

As I walked,I wondered who that man that laid next to me was.And just like that,the memories came rushing back to me.Oh my gosh.I stopped abruptly as I realized I had slept with that rude man from the café.I groaned and walked forward again.I was only a block away now.

Stupid.Stupid.Stupid.Okay,what's done is done.It's not like we're going to see each other again anyway.

With that on my mind,I unlocked the café doors and stepped inside,closing the door and flipping the open sign to the outside.

I took off my coat and hung it up at the hooks,as the café's warmth and divine scent engulfed me.I went towards the kitchen and threw on an apron.I began making the breakfast buffet for the morning.Adding the bacon on the cheese I heard the chime of the door.I cleaned my hands before walking out and to the counter.Behind the counter was an adorable little girl and an elder woman.

"Good morning,what would you like today?"I smiled brightly at both of them and the elder woman smiled while the girl just scanned the pastries.

"Hi.It's actually the first time coming here,so what would you recommend?"she brushed a light brown tendril behind her ear as it fell out of place,her brown eyes kind and gentle.

"Well,since the little girl has been eyeing the sweets and if you want to go with that,I would suggest you get the cheese cake and brownies on the side.It's really good,especially in the mornings.But again,you can go with anything really it's just my opinion,"I shrugged as I moved towards the pastries.

"No,no we'll take that thank you,dear,"I nodded and look towards the girl.

"Do you want something else may-"

"No,thank you,"she said curtly and I lifted my eyebrows.Sounds oddly familiar.Just the thought of this very morning makes me shudder.

"Okay then,"I look towards the woman to see her giving me an apologetic smile.I nod and pack in two of each in my packaging."No drinks?"

"No that'll be all,thank you,"I nod and hand her the things.

"Thank you for coming by.Have a great day,"I smiled at the both of them and the woman waved.

Not long after did Lisa,one of my employees arrive,as well as Ferderico.

"Good morning,"we greeted each other and went to work on the pastries.The entire time my mind was occupied by a certain rude blue-eyed devil.
