Episode 2: Reminiscing

"Tim, wait. I'm sorry. There's just a lot of work at school. You know, there's this incoming state exam and I can't just leave my students be. I had to make sure they're studying. You know how kids are." Tim's frown turned into a wide smile. He was just about to leave. It's just so typical of her to be late. She was that dedicated. And he admires her for that. Never did he see someone so passionate, hardworking, and responsible. Not even him. Not even his dad. His dad. He thought with a deep sigh of regret. Tim shook the idea of his dad from his head. She's here. Finally. That's all that matters. SHE'S ALL THAT MATTERS. But she's late. AGAIN. AS USUAL. " Hi! You made me nervous for an hour. But of course, I know there's not much to worry about. Anyway, looking good besides the hectic schedule, aren't you? So unfair for a single lady to have all the favors in the world." "Maybe some. But not all. But I thank you for the flattery. That's another five points for you, handsome. You look good, too. So, shall we just stand here and look at each other? Or, we can have a steak over dinner?" "That I cannot argue you with. Steak it is. Shall we?" Tim can vividly remember that night. He brought Ellice to Lavendearia. The restaurant where he first saw her. It may sound strange, but Tim knew, he felt it. It was love at first sight. He knew then and there that she's gonna be the one for him. So he brought her there. That night was full of laughter. It's been a year since they've been dating. Ellice knew Tim is into her. He's been honest with her since day one. She knew his intentions and Tim is such a gentleman. He's patiently waiting for Ellice to be ready. Not that he's in a hurry. He understands that building a good relationship is not a one-night job. It takes time. So he patiently waited for her. Been patiently waiting for her. "Here, try this Crunchy Bacon Brussels Sprouts. It's one of the best here in Lavendearia." Tim offers a spoonful of Bacon Brussels Sprouts to Ellice. He always does that. He loves to pamper her. He loves her so much. "Was that Blue Cheese? With Red Peppers, perhaps?I mean, Blue Cheese's is my favorite. I knew one when I had one". "Yeah. Definitely Blue Chees and Red Peppers. I had them ordered because I know you love blue cheese. And I am pretty sure you'll love Brussel Sprouts with it. And you do, didn't you?" "Absolutely. That's so sweet of you. Thanks." "You're always welcome. You never disappoint. Here, try this Cabernet. It tastes well with steak" Tim was always like that. He wants to spoil her in every way he can. She is that special to him. That night was indeed an amazing night. That night was the night he will always remember, for in that night, in the Lavendearia, where he first laid eyes on her, Ellice became his girlfriend. Finally.
