CHAPTER 30 If I knew this was going to be the last time I saw Zeta for decades, maybe I would have handled things differently. Zeta met me at the stables. She was in a stall brushing down a beautiful appaloosa. The front half, head, and neck were a dark mud-brown, and from mid-back to the hind quarters and back legs was white, and spotted with the same mud-brown. She stopped when she noticed me. Her eyes dropped, cheeks reddened. “Wyn.” I waited, thought there might be more. I didn’t know how much of our last few days Anna shared with Zeta.
