Chapter 4Albus motioned for Zale to walk up the few steps leading into the bath. He needed to wash and put on clean clothes, then he’d take him to Saxon the Sinful. He didn’t know how much more time he had. The scent of illness was clinging to him, and Albus might imagine it, but he believed it grew stronger. “Here’s the bath.” He motioned at the water. The surface was at the same level as the floor. The pool wasn’t nearly as deep as he wanted it to be. When he was in dragon form, he had to lie on his side to get his entire body submerged, but the human he’d hired to fix his bathroom when he’d lived here a couple of years claimed it was as deep as he could make it.
