Today personally assigned me to this mission. My first mission that wasn't associated to the Mafia. A mission he could assign to only one whom he trusts. Mission Dila.
Dila was returning from London. Talks were that she wasn't able to deal with the guilt of something she'd done bad and also her Mother's death.
It's been 20 long years since she'd Left Holland for London and she was returning tonight. I was to be her bodyguard.
Rift knew all too well that with the number of enemies he had, they wouldn't think twice In harming her.
Dila's plane was to arrive by 7 this evening. It was already 6 In the evening so I grabbed my keys, got Into my car, and drove off.
14 mins till Dila's plane would arrive at the Amsterdam Schipol (AMS) Airport. I got out of my car, shut the door and leaned on It. In 4, 5minutes I would go In. So I shut my eyes. The warm breeze fanned my cheeks, I was going to see Dila.
flashbacks...
He came In to give give me dinner, the guy who always brought my meals. I was sitting on a chair with my hands tied with ropes on both sides of the chair.
He kept the plate with bread and sauce on the wooden table by the door. He walked up to me and loosed the ropes tied around both of my hands.
As I was about to pick my plate up, I heard gunshots. The glass window by my left shattered on the ground. The shrads piercing my feet. 2 gunshots where fired.
He pulled out his pistil from his back pocket and walked out through the door he came In through. I quickly loosed the knot of the rope tied round my ankles and ran out through the only door In the room.
I saw 2 other men with the guy who brings my meals exchanging bullets with the rival gang who came for the attack. I sneaked to the back of this room which was supposed to be a living room for a normal house and climbed out the window.
That night Kemal taught he would have a better life just like It used to be. Little did he know how wrong he was. How this was just the beginning of his end, Kemal's end.
The first and only place I could think of running to was 'home' and home I ran off to. When I got to the gate, I pushed It and walked In. It felt odd and different.
The light bulbs weren't switched on just like how It was, every other night. Mum knew I always loved lighting the house and she does It even In my absence for me every time but today, the house was quiet and felt empty.
I walked to the front door and knocked gently. I was happy to finally be home.
There was no answer. I stood on my toes trying to touch the switch to ring the doorbell but I couldn't reach up to It. So I walked to the window of my mother's room.
I remembered one of the many conversations I had with Mum. I was replying It out of my head.
'Soon enough dear, we'll leave this place and go somewhere we'll be happier' mom said to me smiling.
'but mum I'm still happy here and If we leave, what are we going to do about the birds?' Kemal spoke.
'We'll go where you'll make more friends' she then looked out the window
'and we'll release the birds and let them fly away' her eye widened and her smile broadened.
'Well that would do' I said with a grin. The sound of her laughter filled the room and I joined In.
This was actually the last conversation before I was taken away from my family.
I walked up to the roof top and looked In the bird cage. They were all gone.
Just then, 2 cars parked by the gate. 6 men all dressed In black suits walked out of the car and walked Into the compound.
Three walked to the left side of the house, three to the right and the last man walked towards the front door.
I hid In a corner between the cage and the wall. The man by the front door pushed It but It didn't open.
The other 6 men met the man by the door who they addressed as 'Boss' and told him that nobody was home.
'one of you wait behind he's surley going to come here' he told the 6 of them. The boss and 5 other men walked out, sat In the cars and drove off.
The sound of an Airplane landing filled the whole place. I was drawn out of my thoughts.
I walked Into the Airport and headed to the Arrival gate.
15 minutes later, I spotted Dila. I have seen one of her picture on Rifat's phone. Today, he showed me to refresh my memory.
Pictures lied a bit to be honest cause the woman I saw was just a sentence away from perfect. Her blonde hair layed on her shoulders, she was on black jeans and her curves were all out, She wore a black leather jacket with a black vest In It and her little breasts where quite attractive, she was perfection, her eyes looked pure but I knew more than that, after what happened with my family I knew better than trusting looks, little Dila taught me that.
Damon, you aren't still little sweethearts. I mentally scolded myself.
She was standing by the gate waiting for who ever was here to pick her up I guess.
"Miss. Dila, Mr Rifat has sent me here for you. I'm Damon".
She looked up at me, Into my eyes like she had doubts, but then...
"I'm Dila, shall we?"
And then we walked out...
