She looked up at me, Into my eyes like she had doubts,but then...
"I'm Dila, shall we?"
And then we walked out...
"Ma'am, we at your home" I packed at the gate, right on the address Rifat gave me.
"You know Damon,we could just work with Dila" she looked at me, opened her side of the door and got out of the car.
We packed all her stuffs Into the house and I left.
The next morning I went over to Dila's place. We went to the school she donated furnitures and a huge donation to.
Dila gave her speech to the kids encouraging them to keep on moving no matter what. I noticed Dila kept on looking In my direction between her lines.
She handed over the medal and appreciation flowers she was given to me. I kept them In the backseat.
"d'you have any Idea about where I could get plants?" she asked me
"yh, I Know a place. Hop In". She sat In the car and I drove off.
We went to a flower house and bought a truck load of plants.
"So how's it going to get back to us?" Dila asked
"He'll have them delivered to the school?" t'was more of a question.
"yh, the school, let's go"
We went back to the schools premises and planted all the little trees with the students. They were all happy.
We walked back to the car when I asked her
"Dila why all the plants?" she looked up at me. Sadness clear In her eyes.
"It's my Mum's death anniversary today" then It was just silence.
flashbacks...
"Dila, why do you come to school with this plant everyday?" Kemal asked 6year old Dila. The plant In It's little plant cup was already dying. Dila always stuck with It, taking care of It.
"My Mom told me that she wouldn't live longer than this plant so I'm always caring for It so It lives longer"
"Dila... your Mom's going to be fine don't worry, buh you do look silly holding that" I smiled foolishly at her and she laughed out. The first smile this week on her face as It lit up.
