Empire of Liberty, Willow Town Military Headquarters, Pentagon. Generals from each division conducted a meeting in response to the threat of the incoming unknown navy from the west spotted by the Kirov-Class Nuclear Guided Cruiser.
Michael with his chief-of-staff, vice-excellency Raphael were pulled out by the supreme excellency guards to the situation room located in the White House.
Michael was surprised at first but the moment his generals briefed him about the situation, he seriously began conceiving a plan with the joint chief of staff.
Sitting at the VIP chair, Michael intently looked to the television mounted on the wall and saw the situation.
“4,400 ships? Even from the past world, there’s no way a country could mobilize a massive fleet like that.” Michael commented, dumbfounded at the navy fleet of the unknown country, “So, what’s our choice here? Should we engage or be diplomatic?”
“Sir the best way to deal with this is to send an envoy from their ships and negotiate.” Raphael who’s standing by him said. “It’s important to know what they want and if it's out of our concern then we should let them.”
“With all due respect vice-excellency, their fleet is moving 8 knots eastward, which is our location sir. They are closing as time passes by.” One of the generals commented.
“We don’t know what they want but mobilizing such an entire fleet like that is tantamount to an invasion. No...I think it’s an invasion.” The other general commented.
“I agree, we should be cautious on how we approach this situation. If they are really invading or at war with another country, we shouldn’t interfere.”
The generals in the situation room agreed on their conjecture. Which Michael used as the base of his decision. He pondered and contemplated as he glanced over the table, seeing the generals racking their brains to come up with the best possible solution.
“Raphael, who’s on our current ships are the nearest to that fleet?” Michael inquired as he pointed to the mounted flat television.
Raphael opened the file she was holding and spoke, “It’s a Kirov-Class Battlecruiser, sir.”
“A Russian ship huh?” Ernest chuckled, “Very well, is there a special force boarded on that ship?”
“Yes sir,” Raphael confirmed.
“Prepare them and I want to keep Anastasia in the loop to all of this. Maybe she can ask the Queen there about the identity of the incoming fleet.” Michael continued, “Who’s the nearest fleet around the Battlecruiser?”
“The Seventh Fleet sir,” Raphael answered quickly, however, she looked troubled.
“What’s the problem? That’s one of our best modern fleets. Why do you look so pale?” Michael asked.
“Well, the Seventh Fleet is sixty minutes out, your supreme excellency.”
“...That far?” Michael said in a weak tone, disbelief. “Well, they better get their fast. Raphael, deploy the Fifth, I want to talk to the captain of that Battlecruiser.”
…
Back at the Royal Palace, same day. Anastasia is on her phone talking to higher-ups. The moment she hung up the phone, she hurriedly headed towards the office of the Queen.
“I’m sorry for the suddenness, your majesty.” Anastasia kneeled the moment she entered the room.
“What is it, ma’am Anastasia, I believe we have nothing to talk about…”
“This is important, your majesty.” Anastasia picked up her phone and browsed the gallery, swiping her fingers, she showed it to Jean.
“Do you know a country whose ships have this type of insignia?”
Jean was shocked at the black slab of rock shown to her but it was not a rock but a communication device. She scanned the image while in awe state. Then seconds later, her eyes widened as she saw a dragon insignia painted on the sails.
“...They are the Imperial Carmine Empire of the West, how did you get this?”
“It doesn’t matter, tell me who they are please, your majesty.”
Jean's next words silenced the room. “They are a savage country that invaded and colonized most of the western continent, they are the superpowers on par with the Grand Empire of Thames and most importantly, they declared war on our neighbor, Kingdom of Dawn.”
“...Kingdom of Dawn?” Anastasia felt dizzy the moment she heard that name. Recalling all her memories about the political geography around the Empire of Liberty, Anastasia added. “They are also one of our neighbors as well.”
Back at the Kirov-Class Battlecruiser. Special forces prepped their equipment and RHIB to make contact with the fleet.
