As the bus arrived at the condominiums prepared by the country, all the citizens of former Willow Town saw a spectacular sight again, in front of them were tall towers that had lights lighting the inside of it. The entrance to the tower was big and you could feel the alien feeling by just looking at it. There, a ten was sent up and they were processed there, asking for their names, age, occupation, how many are in the family and so on that proves their identity. Sirius and Lannis who just concluded the meeting with Michael were escorted to the condominium site to help the officials on-site process them. As the mayor of the town, he was the first one to be processed. Entering the tent were two people in front of black metal and was rapping their fingers onto something. He doesn’t know the purpose of it but he didn’t bother to ask as it will only be a nuisance to the person. “What’s your name, sir?” An operator asked, “Sirius Blake.” Receiving his name, she immediately typed it out on the keyboard, after that she asked again. “Your age and occupation?” “47 years old and I’m the mayor of Willow Town.” He answered her queries. After inputting his answer to the computer, she continued, “Please look at the camera on your right, please.” She beckoned with her hand, guiding his head to the thing called “camera.” It was a small black metal with a protruding cylinder. The moment he looked at the camera, it instantly flashed a light, making him squint. “...Magic?” He thought to himself, but nothing happened to his body. What kind of sorcery is this? Moments later, the operator handed him something, it looked like parchment but he was certainly sure that it was not a parchment. To him it was kind of a new type of parchment, written on it was his identity in two different languages. English and Naltum. Naltum is the name of their language. “Please keep that paper in you at all times, it will be the form that you’re going to present when picking your new identification card, if you don’t have any questions you may now leave and go to the building written below.” Sirius scanned the paper and noticed that there was a written text “Tower 1, Penthouse 25th floor.” “Uhm...what is this?” Sirius asked for the meaning of it. The operator gladly answered his question. “That’s your room for the meantime, as the mayor of the Willow Town, we are ordered by our supreme excellency to give you the most convenient and luxurious room.” “Woah.” Sirius was amazed that somehow the supreme excellency acknowledged his position, “thank you.” Sirius said and stepped outside the tent. The moment he got out, a person wearing a formal suit greeted him. “Good evening sir, I’m one of the receptionists of Tower 1 condominium if you will please follow me to escort you to your room. But first please give me the form given to you.” “Thank you,” Sirius said as he handed the paper to him. While the receptionist was reading the form, he looked around and saw a long line of people. Sirius thought that they are going to be processed the same way he was. Then he struck his head up and saw the magnificent tower built intricately. One that could never be imagined in this world was standing mighty in front of him that he soon will call home. “Okay, I know where your room is, please follow me.” Sirius followed the man and entered the tower. Inside he was greeted with a warm air. He immediately removed all the snow out of his head and shoulder. Inside were exquisite sofas and benches and in his foot were symmetric tiles, and above are high ceilings with lights embedded on them. And the smells are just pleasant. It can’t be compared to the mansion he was living in the town before. No comparing it to this is completely an insult. Overwhelming his senses with the things he first saw, he asked the receptionist. “Sir? What is this place called?” “This floor is called the reception hall, it’s where your people will be processed in their rooms. Please follow me.” He followed and arrived at a metal door that just opened the moment he pushed a button on the wall. “Uhm? What is this?” Sirius pointed at the small spaced beyond the metal door. “It’s called an elevator, it allows us to get to the other floors by elevating us.” “Elevating?” He c****d his head. “Well, it’s better for you to experience it yourself, sir.” He beckoned him to enter the elevator, in which he succeeded. The doors closed, a sudden tense feeling swept in his body, but he keeps it to himself. Seconds later, he suddenly felt his ears are going to pop. He could tell that this elevator is indeed moving. However he couldn’t deny the fact that his ears are feeling uncomfortable, so he asked the receptionist regarding this. “Don’t worry sir, it’s just common for you to feel that as I can feel it as well. The moment we’re out of this elevator, I assure you that it will naturally go away.” He answered. “If you say so.” Sirius waited and moments later he heard a sound of a bell ding, the door was opened automatically after. “...What?” Sirius was dumbfounded, it was not the place he was before when he entered this elevator. “We are now on the top floor, please follow me as I’ll escort you to your room.” The receptionist stepped out of the elevator. Sirius followed him until they reached a door. The receptionist used some sort of a card and placed it on where the doorknob should be. Speaking of doorknobs, there were no doorknobs. It was a lever. *Chirped. The door chirped and the receptionist opened the door. Sirius watched how he did it for future reference. Behold was something that could never be imagined. A spacious hall filled with luxurious furniture. A mirror could be seen there and Sirius walked straight to it. He peered down below and saw the majestic sight of the city, it was bright there and everything looked magnificent. He could see people below there in the size of an ant. He was really on the top floor and the elevator was indeed elevated at this level. He could stare at the window forever if the scene looked like this. However… “Sir, there’s so much for you to explore in your room.” The receptionist said. Snapping him back to his senses, he followed the receptionist and explored his new home. First was the bedroom, it was quite spacious than most of the peasant homes and there he saw a master bed with pillows and quilt perfectly arranged. He walked towards the bed and gently pushed it down with his hand— “So soft…” He does it again and again, it was fluffy and soft. He thought that it was a mattress filled with feathers but no...it was something different. “Okay, sir here are the clothes.” He pointed at the wardrobe located east of the bed. It was full of clothes. “We don’t know your exact measurement yet so please if you find something here that is fitting, please wear it.” “Okay.” Then they proceeded to the bathroom. Ever since his arrival in this place, his common senses are completely far from them. The building, the supreme excellency palace, the elevator, and this room? It was all overwhelming him. Now, for the bathroom, he has no idea in mind what’s going to be looked like. He has a bathroom image in his mind but it was before in his mansion. It is going to be the same way as the bathroom he will see? The receptionist opened the door and his eyes widened. It was completely different from the bathroom he had in his mansion. It was tidy and clean and you could see it sparkling. There, a lot of odd things meet him such as the toilet, faucet, and shower. The thing that he can only recognize is the tub. But it is completely different from the tub he has in the mansion. Seeing the bathroom, Sirius proceeded to the living room. Frankly speaking, it was the first room he saw when he entered but he didn’t know that it was called the living room. There is a luxurious sofa and couches are there to be seen, perfectly arranged. Also in the living room, he noticed a big black mirror mounted on the wall. The receptionist answered that it's a flat television screen that enables him to watch movies and news. Though they don’t go deep into that. Then the two proceeded to the kitchen room where a lot of foods packed in plastic are seen. “Okay, this is bottled water, biscuits, wafers, chips, noodles, soft drinks, and so on.” The receptionist showed the things he mentioned perfectly arranged on top of the table. Again, it was completely different from the kitchen he has. Then the receptionist opened the black box and in an instant, a frigid air hit his body. “This is called the refrigerator, here you can place your bottled water and soft drinks there and cool them…do you want to test some of the foods here?” Sirius nodded in anticipation. The receptionist tear the plastic and gave him the chocolate biscuit and took a bite— “Delicious.” An indescribable yet sweet taste overwhelms his mouth. He looked at the package and saw that there’s a lot of it. He devoured the biscuit and asked him to open another one. The receptionist gave him another and then instantly, he finished it, and then another, and another until he choked his throat. He was eating recklessly, so the receptionist gave him some water bottles to remove the clog. It was a success, he was relieved. “Okay sir, if you want to eat more please eat it slowly. You will not run out of supply for the first month.” “First month?” “Yes, it was included in the perks when you become a citizen of the Empire of Liberty.” “So does that mean that the people in the land can have the same services as I am?” “Yes.” “What a benevolent king you have here.” The receptionist chuckled, “Well if you want to eat real food here’s the menu.” He handed me a menu that was on top of the desk. There a variety of foods can be seen with beautiful plating. There is also a breakfast page, lunch page, and dinner page. “You can order without paying but there’s a limit. You can only choose at the time of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Okay?” “Yes.” “Okay follow me, I’ll show you something.” The receptionist heads near the exit and pointed at the telephone mounted on the wall. “This is the telephone, here you can order food, ask for assistance, call for room service, and fix things. To dial, just push this ‘one button. We will give you an instruction manual written in Naltum language for all the technologies here so that you can get an idea.” Sirius nodded. “If you don’t have any questions, I’ll be leaving you here now. And by the way, this is the key. Don’t lose it and keep it in your possession at all times.” The receptionist handed him the key card, “Well then, good night.” The receptionist leaves, leaving Sirius alone. He felt his energy drained at exploring the huge luxurious room he got. So he headed to the bedroom and jumped in the bed. He could feel its softness and fluffiness and the pillows and quilt were so fragrant that he could sniff it forever. A chilly air, the softness of the bed and pillows, made him feel sleepy. Sirius closely closes his eyes and has his first sleep in his new home and new country.
