Chapter 5

"I get to pick one out this time?" I asked dancing with excitement.

"If your okay with that love." He said smiling.

"Thank you!!" I said as I basically ran to see all the hounds we had. "Hello! I am Esme. I am so pleased to me you, and excited to meet my new hound!"

"Good Afternoon My Queen, I am Brandon the Kennel master. I have brought all the hounds who have no home. Pups and adults." he said with a smile.

I took a step forward feeling Shuck rub against me. "You want to help pick your friend out?" I asked him. He walked in before me, sniffing the pups first giving off a warning growl when they tried nipping at his lips. He moved past them walking over to the adults before running to an not quite adult but not a pup aged female. He rubbed up against her and she returned the affection.

"Who is that?" I asked pointing at the female.

"Oh that is Rose, she is a weak hound. You don’t want her." Brandon said.

Stuck turned around growling at Brandon, he put his hands up and backing away.

"I think we will take her, Thank you." I said with a smile as I patted my legs watching Shuck encourage her to follow him. She skipped along behind him, looking as happy as could be. As soon as we made it to the front of the house they took off into the open field, running and playing it made me so happy.

"I think he likes her my love." I said looking at Alastair.

"I think he does Angel." he said nodding his head.

"Would you like me to make supper tonight my love?" I asked him as I wrapped my arms around his neck placing a kiss to his lips. 

"I would like that very much Angel. What are we having?" he asked wrapping his arms around me returning my kiss.

"Hmm, I don’t know yet, I will figure that out. Should we invite the lords over?" I asked.

"Do we have to?" he said with a pouty lip.

"It would be nice for them." I said planting a kiss on that pouty lip.

"Fine Angel, only because I know it'll please you." he said giving my a big passionate kiss stirring all the wonderful feeling he gives me. I let out a little moan, he moved his hands down to my rear gripping it lightly.

"Oh no you don’t! I need to go start cooking and you have calls to make." I said smacking his chest playfully.

Alastair let out a full belly laugh throwing his head back landing a swift smack on my butt. I yelped and started running towards the house into the kitchen. "Your going to be the death of me." I said with a laugh.

I heard him growl looking up to see he did not find my comment funny.

"I would never kill you Esme, ever." he said with a serious tone. "How could you think I would cause your death?" he looked so sad. I walked towards him wrapping my arms around him pulling him to me.

"My love it is just a saying, I didn’t really mean it." I whispered. His arms wrapped around me tightly.

"You know I love you and wouldn’t hurt you right?" he asked.

"Of course I know that. Now, come sit down and make your calls while I figure out what to make for you and those crazy boys." I said smiling placing a kiss to his neck.

"Or we can go upstairs…" he said with a wicked smile.

"Don’t be naughty Mr." I said smiling. He gave my a wink before pinching my butt before sitting down pulling his phone out of his pocket. "Your lucky I love you."

"I love you baby." he said before putting the phone to his ear.

I started looking through the freezer at the meats we have in the freezer, I found some Carne Asada and it looked heavenly.

I placed it in the sink filling it with some water, it'll thawed out by the time I am done making the rice and beans. I walked to the pantry grabbing some white rice I can add seasoning to it to make it nice and spicy, and than I grabbed 2 cans of black beans. Making my way to the fridge I grabbed chicken broth and some avocados and cilantro. I was getting everything cooking when I looked up to see Alastair watching me with a smile.

"I love watching you cook babe, you look relaxed." he said.

"I like when you call me that. Its nice." I said smiling at him.

Dinner was almost done, Alastair helped my set the table. I heard the door ring, I left Alastair to pull the meat of the grill. I walked to answer the door. I opened finding Victor, Evan and Rowen smiling at me.

"Come on in boys, Alastair is just pulling the meat off the grill and than we can eat!" I said clapping my hands together with a smile.

"Thank you so much for having us my Queen." Victor said.

"Please call me Esme. No need for formalities." I said ushering them into our home. Before I was able to close the door Shuck and Rose came running in giving Rowan a little scare. "They wont hurt you Rowen." I said as I patted their heads.

The boys came in and walked towards the kitchen were the normal everyday dinner table was. I heard uproars of laughter knowing they found Alastair in his apron.

"Oh Luke!" I said as I spotted the butler. "Can you please feed the hounds?"

"Yes my Queen of course." he said with a smile.

"Thank you, I will put a plate of food in the microwave for you." I said with a smile.

"Thank you ma'am, that’s very kind of you." he said with a big smile as he patted his leg calling the hounds for dinner.

 I walked In to find Alastair and the boys sitting around the table waiting for me before they ate.

"You guys didn’t have to wait for me." I smiled sitting down. "Please serve yourselves."

We all started eating, and it was exactly what I was craving.

"Esme this is good, what is it?" Rowen asked. Evan and Victor nodded in agreement.

"Carne Asada. I will give you the recipe before you leave." I said smiling before I took another bite.

I grabbed a plate of food for Luke before all the food was gone.

"Babe what are you doing?" Alastair asked with a giggle.

"I promised Luke I would save him a plate." I said with a smile.

"You’re a good women." he said with a nod. "My women."

"All yours." I said leaning in giving him a kiss. I walked over placing the plate into the microwave.

I walked over to the fridge pulling the German Chocolate cake out and a jug of milk. I sat it on the table as Victor stood collecting the plates and leftover food placing it on the countertop. I walked over getting some clean plates, forks and glasses for sitting back down, I served everyone first than myself, I looked up to hear groans of satisfaction coming from all four of them which made me smile. 

"That was an amazing meal Esme, thank you for having us." Evan said as the others nodded in agreement. We gave them hugs as they walked out of the door. Once they were gone, Alastair shut the door and locked it, Turning to me with that wicked smile.

"Time for dessert number two." he growled before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.

"Alastair!!" I squealed.

We spent the rest of the night wrapped around each other making love, kissing, talking and laughing. We spent the rest of our wonderful day filling each other with all the love we had in us and some.

"I love you more than life" He whispered pulling me into his arms. 

"I love you too Alastair." I said with a smile cuddling into his chest. I placed a kiss over his heart before slipping into a deep sleep.
