ALDREN
I fell asleep for a few hours, I woke up alone in the room still wearing an oxygen mask and my body was weak and painful, I felt overwhelmed. I tried to stand up but it really hurts and I can’t really move my body, someone entered the room and I slowly spoke to the person who is inside the room with me.
“Where’s Tyson?” I asked the nurse who was checking my IV drip, he slowly looked at me and smiled
"Sir, it's good that you woke up already and were rushed to the hospital immediately."
“Where is he? The teenager I am with?” he stared at me for a while, he opened his mouth but a knock on the door interrupted his answer he moved backward and bowed a little to excuse from me "By the way, I forgot. You have visitors."
"Visitors? Who?" Someone came in suddenly and ran towards me
"Ma?" he ran towards me and hugged me tightly
"Ow! my body " she parted from our hug and hit my chest playfully while giving me lessons.
" I told you to drive slowly!"
“Actually, it’s a long story. I thought I wouldn’t see you guys again." we smiled at each other and she gave me a sudden playful hit in the chest, someone entered the room again and I saw lance spreading his arms widely, wanting a hug
"Bro!" he immediately hugged me tight and kissed me on the cheeks "I'm so worried, about you"
"Yeah, me too." I said while wiping my cheeks, I saw crystal at the door smiling at me. It seems like she’s happy that I am in this bed by the way she smiled at me.
"So? How is my favorite cousin?" Crystal said “How does it feel being in the bed and not being able to move?”
“Sucks, like you” she entered slowly holding someone’s hand, and I know that hand for sure, it’s Amanda’s. "Amanda" suddenly I remembered Tyson, where is he? Why are we not in the same room as I am now?
"Oh? Is there anything wrong?" Mom asked
"Wait-Where's Tyson?" crystal asked
"uh, nurse? where is the guy that my son is talking about?" the nurse stopped checking when mom asked about it.
"What? What happened to Tyson?" i asked, hoping I was wrong
"The one who was with you is dead sir, when we arrived in the operating room to start the operation, h-he died" when the nurse said those, I was suddenly forgot my name for a while, I became deaf for a while from what I’ve heard, and most of all, I can't forgive myself from what happened, especially at him.
"W-what?"
"Did I hear it right, Crystal?"
"A-Amanda, I-"
"Aldren, is it true?"
" I was right, when we were just approaching the emergency room, I was half awake and Tyson's already pale, there was a lot of blood at him" I whispered to my self, I looked at Amanda and saw her tears dripping from her cheeks, seeing her hurt, hurts me too. I killed her friend.
"Amanda, forgive me" she was silent, the room was filled with silence with the news, everyone was looking at Amanda.
“I'm going back in the car, I want to rest."
"A-ah, I’ll come with you" Crystal held Amanda’s arm and they left us, I know what’s on Amanda’s mind right now, Disappointment
"Aldren, don't worry I'm sure Amanda understands you, give her time everyone is in shock right now-"
"I will not be okay with what happened" I was silent, and laid back my back on the bed and breathe to calm down, suddenly I think of a plan.
"I will leave you and lance first -" I grabbed her wrist preventing her from standing up, I looked at her seriously in the eye
"Mom, can you please stay for a while?"
"Lance, can we have a minute??" he nodded and patted me on the shoulders stood up and left the room
"What do you want to talk about son?"
"Ma, I made a decision "
“What do you mean?”
"Give my eyes to Amanda " she's speechless and confused on what I said, she let out a little laugh and sat down properly on the side of the bed and held my hand
"Are you serious? What made you decide that?"
"That’s what I want, even from the start i already think that this might happen" I said, but she had no response, instead she just sat there and listen on what I’m saying. "What can you say?"
"If you want me to answer that, I don't know but." She held my hand tightly, smiling at me
"The only one who can answer your question, is your sister, Amanda"
AMANDA
“Amanda” We were in the car; crystal and I were waiting for mom. While mom is still inside, I couldn't believe that Tyson would disappear just like that, I only met him for a day, then he is gone everything was quiet.
"Hey, are you okay? You've been staring for a while." Said crystal
"I'm not staring, I am just thinking something"
"Oh, of course, I almost forgot, you're blind" I heard her laughed awkwardly and I just ignored it, its not big deal to me cause it’s true, I am blind.
"Crystal, I can't believe what happened tonight"
"Me too." I heard her sighed hearing her laying her back from the seat, I always wondered, what Crystal looked like. Everyone says she’s pretty, but also annoying sometimes.
"I hope Aldren will recover well soon" I heard someone entered the car
"Lance, Auntie, how was it?" crystal asked.
"Your cousin is okay, Crystal" said mom “we can leave him for now, we should get rest first and later, we’ll visit him again.”
"Amanda, don't worry about Aldren. He’s strong, he’ll recover soon, but for now let's go home first to rest, especially you" I did not answer what Mom said
"So, let’s go." lance started the car and left
