~ASH’S POV~ The smirk on my lips widened as I took in the expression on her face. She looked like she had just seen a ghost. “What the f**k…?” Cara stuttered, her eyes narrowing. “Why are you here?” I brushed past her without answering, stepping inside like I owned the place. My eyes flickered over the living room—pillows and sleeping bags were scattered across the floor, a half-empty popcorn bowl sitting on the coffee table. I paused, tilting my head. “Aren’t you happy to see me, little cous?” I drawled, my voice laced with mock innocence. “Throwing a party and didn’t think to invite me? *Dearest* cousin, I’m offended.” Cara rolled her eyes so hard I thought they might get stuck. “It’s a sleepover, dummy,” she shot back, bending down to pick up a pillow from the floor.
