The next Day.
"Where is that woman? Why hasn't she shown up yet? How dare she waste my time!" Alston glared at Lily. He had been waiting in the upscale restaurant for three hours without any word.
"P-please wait a little longer, Mr. Alston. I’m sure she'll be here in a few more minutes," said Lily, sweating nervously.
Alston slammed his fist on the table. "How dare you try to deceive me! Do you think I'm a fool? That woman doesn't want to come, does she? What's really going on?"
Lily trembled violently. She couldn’t hide the truth any longer.
"S-sorry, Mr. Alston. The woman refused to give you the baby."
Alston's eyes burned with rage. "How dare that wench steal my child! Where is her address? I’ll make her pay!"
"T-they moved. I went to her house yesterday to threaten her, but they no longer live there."
CRASH!
Alston threw a glass to the floor to vent his frustration. "I swear I'll kill you for daring to give my sperm to that thief!"
He wouldn’t be this angry if he could produce high-quality sperm easily. Unfortunately, it took him years to produce it.
"Now give me the photo and identity of that woman!"
"O-okay." Lily handed him a photo of Claire.
Alston's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw the potential mother of his children.
"Who is she? Why is she so ugly?"
"She has uterine cancer, which is why she's bald."
SLAP!
"You bastard! I specifically ordered you to give my sperm to a beautiful woman so she could give birth to a handsome son like me!"
"S-sorry, Mr. Alston. But she was the only woman who successfully carried your child."
"F*ck!"
Alston stormed out of the upscale restaurant. He looked at the photo with seething anger.
He vowed to kill the woman after he got his child.
***
Six years later.
“How did it go?” Alston asked Lily coldly.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Alston. It failed again because Ms. Bella’s eggs were weak,” Lily explained fearfully. She didn’t dare to tell the truth that Alston's sperm was weak and couldn’t fertilize the eggs.
Alston growled with anger. His face showed deep disappointment. He had lost count of how many times he had failed.
He stood up and left the room.
“How dare you tell Alston that! I told you to say the IVF was successful!” Bella shouted.
She was obsessed with carrying Alston’s baby because she wanted to be the wife of the richest man in the USA. But Lily’s diagnosis shattered her dream.
“I almost lost my life the last time I tried to lie to him. I want to save my life too. You know who he is, right? Besides being the CEO of Kingsley Corp, he's a demon.”
“I don't care! Just tell him the next IVF is successful! Got it?” Bella threatened, then hurried to catch up with Alston, who was talking to James, his assistant.
“Have you found any trace of that woman, huh?!”
James bowed in fear. “I’m sorry, sir. I’ve searched all over the world, but I haven’t found a woman matching her identity!”
WHAM!
James was thrown against the wall when Alston punched him.
“You fool! I've been paying you for six years for nothing! How could you be outsmarted by a weak woman? You can't find her, and now you’ve failed to provide a healthy donor!”
“S-sorry, Mr. Alston.”
“I’m sick of your excuses! Now get out of here, or I'll kill you! You’re fired!”
James knelt at Alston's feet. “Please give me one more month to find her! I promise I'll find her!”
Alston kicked James away. “I'm tired of your promises!”
“I just got a report from a hospital about someone with a rare blood type like hers,” James lied.
Alston snorted. “Fine! But if you fail again, I'll kill you and your whole family!”
“I promise.”
“But first, find another donor quickly, because that b*tch failed to carry my baby!”
Alston grabbed James by the collar. “Remember this! Bring me a healthy woman!”
“O-okay.” James nodded quickly.
Alston released James and left.
Bella hurried to her 57-year-old father. “Dad, how could you say that to Alston!”
“I had no other choice! Didn’t you hear his threats? He’ll kill us if I don't find a replacement for you!”
“Ck!” Bella was frustrated because she failed to become a billionaire's wife, even though she was so close to living a luxurious life without having to work hard.
“Let's go home.”
Bella and James returned to their modest apartment.
When they entered, they heard shouting.
“Don't lie to me! I know you stole the money from my drawer because you were the last one to clean my room!” Camila yelled at a woman who was lying helplessly on the floor. Her body was covered with bruises and scars.
“I-I didn’t take it, Ms. Camilla. Please trust me.” The woman cried.
Camila hit her with a broom. “I don’t believe your nonsense! I know you need money for your two kids’ hospital bills, so you stole it! How dare you deceive me after I’ve been so good to you!”
Bella smirked as she watched. She was the one who took the money, but her cousin was being blamed.
The red-haired woman hated Claire because all the rich guys she pursued always fell in love with Claire, so she never succeeded in marrying a wealthy, handsome man from their college.
She couldn’t deny that Claire was more beautiful than her. That was why she hated her so much.
“Tsk! You're always causing problems! Now come with me!” James grabbed his niece’s arm roughly. “You need to pay for this!”
“Please let me go. Where are you taking me, Uncle? I can't leave my kids. They need me.” The woman begged and cried.
“Just come with me! Don’t you want to make a lot of money?”
The woman fell silent.
