Chapter 1.
Cindy's point of view This wasn't always the case. My father used to love me and treat me like a little princess when I was a little kid. I was pampered by him and my mother, and I enjoyed their affectionate attention for my sister and me. Ellie never appeared to worry that even though I was the younger, she got significantly more attention. After all, she was just two years older than I was. Even though I had never meant for it to happen, life was like a fairy tale until it finally took a turn for the worse. Even though I was young, it didn't stop his life from collapsing. The unfortunate issue is that I also firmly believe it. Our family would still be together if not for me. She was sulking. The sun was shining and the weather was pleasant. I was itching to go outside and play since I had spent the majority of the day indoors with my mother and sister. I had a lot of energy to burn and was a tomboyish child who enjoyed being outside and playing in the grass. At the time, I would have been five years old, and my sister Ellie, who was just a year older than me, would have been six. My mother spent the weekend catching up on all the housekeeping and chores that needed to be done, while my father worked and/or was bored. My mother came into the kitchen and put her hands on her hips, admonishing Cindy, "Don't pout. I'm sorry you had to wait so long, but I'm all figished now." How about we spend some time outside? Taking a stroll?" brightened quickly. My mum chuckled. My mother had gorgeous brunette hair just like mine, and an angelic face. Ellie grudgingly joins us, and her eyes sparkled as she watched me put on my coat. My mother would never let her stay inside the home by herself, even though she detested being outside. She was overly s****l. I ran towards the door, opened it with excitement, and ran outside with my mother and Reedom. I saw some kids playing, one of them being Tyson, the future Alpha. I was infatuated with Tyson and would constantly look for opportunities to play with him. Tyson grinned at me as he got closer. "Hey Cindy, would you like to play hide and seek with us?" he asked in a lighthearted manner. Have I ever? "Yes," I said with a thrill as my mom giggled behind me. "Count me in." Tyson peered at Ellie, flipping her long hair and giving him a bored look. "What about you, Ellie?" he questioned. She gave me a look. "That's a baby game," she moaned, saying "No thanks." Tyson was the same age as her, but she always believed that because she was older, she was better than us. He shrugged after blinking. Her mother touched her shoulder and said, "Let's go sit under a tree." Ellie gave a nod, and they moved a little distance before sitting down to observe us from the sidelines. My mum exuded tranquilly and ease. My sister appeared to be suffering and bored. Would it kill her to occasionally join in on the fun? She was such a killjoy. Tyson started counting while the rest of us fled to shelter. I laughed and kicked my legs, trying to find a tree to scale. I spied one and started to slink up it, perching on a branch and grinning down at the top. Now there is no chance that Tyson would discover me. I heard him count down to zero. He yelled, "98, 99, 100" into the distance. / eagerly awaited. / was certain that I would be the last person discovered. Thus, I felt a little let down when I noticed Tyson grinning broadly as he looked up at me. "I found you," he chuckled and shook his head at me. I grimaced. "How?" was my demand. He had to have lied! He could not have discovered me so quickly in any other manner! He writhed. "lum might have" he started, but then he tightened up. We could smell something foul in our noses. swallowed, experiencing nausea. We learned the meaning of that smell at a very young age. How did it make its way past patrol? I could see my worried mother approaching me as it drew nearer. The stench caused warriors to shift, and they sent out warning yells. Tyson yelled, "Come on, we have to go." As I down the tree, my foot became lodged in a tiny opening. qut cried. Out of the woodland sprang a horde of rogues, snarling and growling. Au many were present. I watched Ellie bolting as they raced towards the pack house, and my mother transformed into a wolf and charged at us. I managed to free my leg and staggered back. We turned around in fear at the sound of a grow behind us. Tyson turned pale. It was a rogue, and it was glaring at us as if we were a delicious morsel it should eat. I let out a cry, bracing myself for the rogue to attack while Tyson valiantly attempted to protect me. When my mother's wolf flew into our path, she gave the rogue a hard look. My heart skipped a beat. I cried out, "Mother," but Tyson grabbed my hand and dragged me away. "Come on," he pleaded, sounding frightened as fighting broke out all around us. He pleaded, "We have to go," but I refused to move. I was too little to understand that this was my mother and that I was more of a burden than a benefit to her. With a nod of her head, my mother attacked the rogue. With a fierce howl, it started fighting. We recoiled and just stared, horrified. She appeared to be alright at first, even defeating the rogue. Three more rogues joined my mother, making my heart skip a beat. Tyson swore as he released go and fled when I attempted to release his hand and move towards her. "Cindy!" he let out. Everything happened very slowly. I was frightened to see how all of the rogues simultaneously leaped onto my mother, ripping and tearing her to pieces. I can still picture myself shouting uncontrollably, my voice crazy as blood gushed everywhere. They were unmerciful. Tears streamed down my cheeks. My body trembled with terror. I was immobilised. rushed with me back to the pack house's safe room, ensuring Tyson and I were safe. My cheeks were filled with tears. Ellie was standing there, looking terrified. "Where's Mother?"
