“She’ll come around,” Jackson says as he heads inside. My eyes trail over to Ryker, who looks as concerned as I am. “Thank you, Bryce,” I say as I head for the front door.
“Where were you two?” Mariah asks.

“Were you tracking that human again?” she spits.
“Careful,” I growl.
“Why are you so damn interested in her?”
“That’s none of your concern, is it?” Ryker replies dryly.
