“Ryker,” I yell from the bedroom.
“What?”
“Come here.”
I hear him sigh loudly as he gets off the couch and walks toward the bedroom. I’m tying my shoelaces when the door swings open. “What?” he asks.
“I’ll be back in a few hours.”
“Where the f**k are you going?”
I raise my eyebrows and tilt my head, “To get Ari.”
His face contorts, eyes narrowing, “What do you mean to get Ari? She can’t f*****g come here.”
My eyes automatically roll, “Do you think I’m that stupid?” I ask sarcastically.
“f*****g hope not,” he says, annoyed.
“I’ll be back,” I reply as I head for the bedroom door.
Mariah walks in as I am getting ready to step out of the door. Her eyes scan me, “Are you going somewhere?” she asks.
“Yeah, I am. I will be back later.”
